Trump supporter, pardoned felon and conspiracy theory filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza is well known for supporting President Donald Trump no matter what he does.

But D'Souza took things to the next level on Twitter August 6 when he attempted to claim Trump's obvious mispronunciation of "Thailand" during a recent press conference was correct and very smart.

People on Twitter, many of whom have heard people say Thailand correctly, collectively laughed at D'Souza.

D'Souza quickly returned to Twitter to "clarify" his earlier statement, making things worse in the process.

D'Souza's clarification was almost as ludicrous as his original post.

Seemingly unable to stop himself, D'Souza continued to try and make the case for why Trump's pronunciation of Thailand wasn't wrong.

The conspiracy peddler continued defenses were so strange, many online suspected he was defending Trump as compensation for the pardon he received in 2018.

Even Trump knew his pronunciation was wrong, correcting it moments later.

It's hard to seem more detached from reality than President Trump, but D'Souza seems to have accomplished the task.
