Donald Trump Jr. was sharply criticized after he called Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James a "b*tch" for having hecklers booted from a game.

James found himself in the news recently after he took exception with things that were said to him by two beligerent fans during a game.

He had them ejected and footage of the event soon went viral.

James has not confirmed what exactly the fans said though there has been some speculation they made comments about his family.

But he made clear in a statement to reporters the individuals went "outside the line with obscene gestures and words that shouldn't be tolerated in our game from nobody."

The incident soon attracted the attention of Trump Jr., who recirculated the clip of James ejecting the hecklers on Instagram and asked his followers:

“Is there a bigger bitch in pro sports than LaSnitch?”

He later went further, posting a photoshopped image of James wearing a "Karen" wig and suggesting he "wants to speak to the manager!!!"

But Trump Jr.'s words did not go over well with the online community.

Many jumped to James' defense.

Many also pointed out the hypocrisy of Trump Jr. 's comments considering his and his father's history with hecklers and protests during their rallies and public appearances.

Trump Jr. made headlines in recent days for outlandish behavior on social media.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Trump Jr. was mocked after he posted a video that repurposes a dinner scene from the 1989 film National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation showing his father, former President Donald Trump, emerging from President Joe Biden's turkey.

Before that, he courted controversy for his comments on the recent trial and acquittal of Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse, at one point sharing a meme showing his father presenting Rittenhouse with the congressional Medal of Honor.

Trump Jr. would go on to call Rittenhouse a "good samaritan" while blaming Democrats for the Waukesha Christmas parade car rampage.
