The Daily Mail ran a story over the weekend detailing the sacking of the CEO of McDonalds, who was fired for having an affair with one of his employees.

It just so happens that the photo they used for the piece happens to include Chrissy Teigen, who aptly noticed it as soon as she saw the article.

Teigen tweeted about the piece, saying:

"Whoa whoa whoa why am I in this headline photo lmao"

The photo does indeed depict Steve Easterbrook and Chrissy Teigen, but not in any sort of connection to each other, nor in conjunction with the title of the article.

The follow up article also featured the image of Easterbrook and Teigen.

Teigen, who has been married to singer John Legend since 2013, has begun running with the so-called "drama" the article is producing.

"Press conference 9am," she jokes.

The Daily Mail has yet to comment on their choice of photo, but the internet continues to laugh themselves silly.

The identity of the employee Easterbrook had an affair with is not readily available. But we do know it was not Chrissy Teigen.
