It's official. Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, who have been dating since June 2018, will be tying the knot.

Pratt, 39, announced his engagement to the 29-year-old Schwarzenegger in a sweet Instagram post on Monday.

"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!" exclaimed the Jurassic World actor. "I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!"

Schwarzenegger, who is the daughter of politician Arnold Schwarzenegger and broadcast journalist Maria Shriver, reposted Pratt's photo, captioning her response with, "My sweet love. Wouldn't want to live this life with anyone but you."

Prominently featured in the photo of the couple in a loving embrace is Schwarzenegger's diamond engagement ring on her finger as the American author embraces her fiancé.

The internet cheered the happy couple.

Not everyone was delighted by the news. Some criticized the engagement for being hasty and predicted their marriage would not last.

However, this user had the perfect response for the bitter trolls.

Pratt's former wife Anna Farris was among those who praised the exciting news. She and the former Parks and Recreation actor went their separate ways in August 2017 and finalized their divorce in October 2018. But they remain friends and share custody of their 6-year-old son, Jack.

"I'm so happy for you both! Congratulations!" she wrote.

Fans couldn't help but inject some Guardians of the Galaxy and Terminator references.

Rumors of a romance brewing between Pratt and Schwarzenegger began when a photo of them happily picnicking together in Santa Barbara, CA, surfaced last June on Father's Day.

Since then, the two have enjoyed numerous trips together and have met each others' families.

It wasn't until last month when Pratt publicly discussed his relationship. For Schwarzenegger's 29th birthday, he posted an amorous birthday message for his love.

"Your smile lights up the room. I've cherished our time together. Thrilled God put you in my life. Thankful for the laughs, kisses, talks, hikes, love and care."

According to PEOPLE, Maria Shriver was responsible for arranging her daughter's meet-up with the actor.

A close source to the couple disclosed, "They're both serious about the relationship and hopeful for the future. Chris doesn't just date to date, and neither does Katherine. She's very excited."

Congratulations to the happy couple!

The shutdown stems from the 2026 DHS budget appropriation still being unapproved by Congress and the expiration of their continuing resolution authority (CRA) which funded their operations until it lapsed. This weekend, TSA workers missed their first full paycheck.
