High-profile Republican Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly considering a possible bid as the next governor of California if there is a recall effort against the incumbent Democratic Governor, Gavin Newsom.

According to Axios, the 1976 Olympian and former reality show star is in serious talks with political consultants.

One of them assisting Jenner's campaign is GOP fundraiser Caroline Wren, who met Jenner via the American Unity Fund—a GOP nonprofit focused on LGBT issues.

Axios noted Wren previously worked at Trump Victory, a joint fundraising committee for former President Donald Trump's 2020 campaign. She also helped Trump organize the rally to block President Joe Biden's electoral college certification that eventually led to the U.S. Capitol insurrection, five deaths and millions of dollars in damage on January 6.

A spokesperson for Jenner and Wren both declined requests to comment.

Deadline said the prospects of Jenner defeating the "seasoned" and "well-financed" Newsom are a "long shot" in an already crowded GOP field.

An industry insider told the news outlet:

"Caitlyn Jenner is never going to be governor of California, but she may get herself a new show on a streamer out of all this."

Californians doth protest.

California Republicans, upset over Newsom's immigration and tax policies, launched a recall attempt against him.

The GOP's recall efforts gained traction over the Governor's much-criticized handling of the pandemic and opposition to early lockdowns in the state.

In response to the increasingly likely possibility of losing his gubernatorial seat, Newsom admitted he was concerned and said on The View, "We're taking it seriously."

He added:

"I have to do my job every single day but I'm going to fight this thing because I'm going to fight for California values and the things I hold dear."

Newsom faces a challenge similar to the one 37th California Governor Gray Davis, a Democrat, faced in 2003.

Davis was recalled and replaced by Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger—former bodybuilder and actor best known for his Terminator films.

Even after her coming out as a transgender woman in 2015, Jenner remained a dedicated Republican and stuck with her political beliefs despite her party's constant pushing of anti-transgender policies.

For this reason, the trans community and their allies gave a hard pass.

If Jenner runs and ultimately secures the proverbial California gold medal, she will be the state's first woman and America's first openly transgender person to be elected as governor of a state.

And that's a big if.

People Who Smashed Wedding Cake In Their Spouse's Face Reveal How Their Relationship Is Going Now

According to The Knot wedding resource magazine and website, smashing cake into the face of a spouse after tying the knot is a tradition tied to medieval England. To celebrate the marriage, the bride would toss a piece of piece of cake over her shoulder for good luck.

This evolved into newlyweds feeding a piece of cake to one another, then taking frosting or a small bit of cake and rubbing it gently onto each other's faces—usually the cheek or tip of the nose.

Trump Dragged After Hilariously Flubbing Insult About Biden's Mental Acuity

The term malaphor means when two or more colloquial phrases or idioms get confused and combined to create something nonsensical. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), malaphors are a common symptom of frontotemporal dementia or other cognitive impairments.

So when a person seeks to accuse someone of being unintelligent, their use of malaphors is ironic and possibly very telling—narcissists will always accuse others of their own faults and failures.
