During a recent SAG-AFTRA Foundation event, the actor spoke about going to Beyoncé and Jay-Z's home to pitch 'A Star is Born' to the singer while the rapper watched 'Judge Judy.'

Bradley Cooper is generating all kinds of buzz for his Oscar-nominated performance in Maestro, but he is currently going viral for a completely different reason.

While speaking with Willie Geist for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations series, Cooper revealed he pitched the 2018 film A Star is Born to Beyoncé—while Jay-Z watched Judge Judy.

If you recall, Beyoncé was originally slated to play Cooper's counterpart in the remake, but the role eventually went to Lady Gaga. Now we have a little more insight as to what happened, beginning with the hilarious setting of the initial pitch.

The Hangover star said he got the idea for the fourth remake of the movie when he heard Annie Lennox singing at the Grammys.

As soon as he got the okay, he made his way to Beyoncé and Jay-Z's home to discuss the project, where he found the rapper indulging in some daytime courtroom drama.

Cooper said:

"I went to Beyoncé's house, and Jay-Z was watching Judge Judy, I still remember."
"I'm not kidding. And I was freaking out."
"I remember I had this weird cough when I was pitching it to her, and it was crazy."

Viewers of the clip were amused by Jay-Z casually watching Judge Judy while Cooper made the pitch.

Many could relate to the rapper.

Ultimately, Beyoncé playing the lead role didn't work out, and Cooper explained how Lady Gaga ended up with the part.

"[Beyoncé] was incredible, and so was he, and we developed it for like a year together. I mean, she's one of the greatest people of all time."
"Then that fell through, and I'm like, maybe it's Adele [then]?"

As we all know, that didn't pan out, either.

"I think she texted me back once, but she was busy."

Cooper said that when he saw Lady Gaga perform "La Vie en Rose" at a cancer benefit, he knew he'd found his star.

And the rest is history.
