For the second year in a row, UConn took home the NCAA men's basketball title, and no one was prouder than Bill Murray.
Murray's son, Luke, is in his second season as the Huskies' assistant coach (quite the record, if we do say so), and Bill was on hand to celebrate the win after the final buzzer.
In an adorable viral video, the proud papa can be seen embracing his son and having a little heart-to-heart following the Huskies' 75-60 win over the Purdue Boilermakers, marking their second straight championship.
People on social media loved seeing Bill in the proud dad role.
Many also took the opportunity to congratulate Luke on a two-for-two run with the Huskies.
And, of course, fans couldn't resist comparing the déjà vu of back-to-back titles—with Bill celebrating postgame, nonetheless—to dad's flick Groundhog Day.
UConn men's basketball now holds six national titles, the same as North Carolina and the third-most in NCAA history, putting them just behind Kentucky (eight) and UCLA (11).
And Bill has witnessed two of them!
After the Huskies' championship victory last year, he talked about his own game day jitters.
"I couldn't get anything done all day long."
“I was just walking around the hotel room just forgetting everything, toothbrush, phone, watch, couldn't find anything."
"It was a lot of nerves to get here, but it's sure fun now. I had a really big smile on my face earlier. My jaw was hurting."
Bill then gushed over his son's hard work and success.
"I'm very proud of this boy, he's a wonderful kid and he's worked very hard."
Awwwww 💙
Congrats on another phenomenal win!
