President Trump has imperiled democracy and made national headlines by refusing to concede the election for an extended period of time following his opponent Joe Biden's win.

Though this behavior is unprecedented from a U.S. President, it's not unprecedented in the world of turkeys.

Strangely enough, in 2018, President Trump gave an extended, humorous speech at his annual turkey pardoning ceremony where he described how one turkey, Carrot, refused to concede despite a free and fair election.

The clip now seems ominously prescient.

It's nearly impossible to miss the similarities between Donald Trump and Carrots the Turkey.

Carrots couldn't get out of his election loss and neither can Donald Trump.

Donald Trump has always foreshadowed his next move.

Many have spent Trump's entire presidency comparing him to a carrot.

What could be next for Carrots now that he's been ousted from the White House?

The most notable difference between Carrots and Donald Trump?

Carrots will be sorely missed.

GOP strategist and CNN commentator Scott Jennings was criticized for hypocrisy by fellow panelist Jay Michaelson after claiming that President Donald Trump is "standing up" for Jewish students and combating antisemitism in ordering a funding freeze for Harvard University.

Since returning to office, Trump has made reshaping higher education a priority, threatening to pull federal research funding unless universities fall in line. San Diego Zoo Elephants' Reaction To Earthquake Goes Viral—And It's Honestly Beautiful

Nature is truly amazing.

When a 5.2-magnitude earthquake shook Southern California on Monday, humans braced themselves with the grade school-taught drill to "drop, cover, and hold on." Idaho Rally Erupts In Cheers After AOC Epically Blasts 'Criminal' Trump In Blistering Speech

Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemned President Donald Trump at a rally in Nampa, Idaho, calling him a “criminal,” a liar, and a “rapist,” and reiterated her earlier statements that some members of Congress might have participated in insider trading after it was revealed that NASDAQ call volume spiked just minutes before Trump's tariffs pause announcement.

Ocasio-Cortez, who spoke alongside Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders, stressed that the pause was "all about manipulating the markets so that he could quietly enrich his friends who bought the dip before reversing it all in the morning."
