Trump Claims People Said He Looked Like Elvis Presley When He Was Young—And The Internet LOL'ed

Though some thought they could see the resemblance.

Even during his days as a lowly real estate billionaire and reality TV star Donald Trump was known for making some pretty ridiculous claims.

As President though they have only gotten better, including the latest one which might be his best yet.

On Monday the President joined voters in Tupelo, Mississippi—birthplace of Elvis Presley—ahead of the runoff election between incumbent Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith and Democratic challenger Mike Espy.

In typical Trump fashion the President briefly mentioned the rock and roll icon before he began talking about himself, sharing that when he was younger people told him he looked like Elvis.

It was a pretty bold statement even for Trump, but the Tupelo crowd reacted far more generously than the internet.

"Tupelo, home of thousands of hard-working American patriots, and the proud birthplace of the king of rock n' roll, Elvis. Elvis! We love Elvis," Trump began as he addressed the crowd.

"I shouldn't say this, you'll say I'm very conceited because I'm not but other than the blonde hair, when I was growing up they said I looked like Elvis. Can you believe it? I always considered that a great compliment."

The statement drew a mild cheer from the crowd, but folks on the internet were far less forgiving.

Before the internet could actually responded to Trump's latest claim most people needed a minute to catch their breath.

Once people regained their composure their first question was who exactly told Trump he looked like Elvis?

Although some admitted they did notice a bit of a resemblance.

Others however just didn't see it.

Sadly for Trump, not many people seemed to agree he looked like Elvis, but hopefully in the coming days the President can still enjoy all the hits from the king of rock and roll.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
