Tenant Catches Apartment Staff Badmouthing Her In Voicemail After They Forgot To Hang Up

TikToker @www.slayy.net shared a recording of her apartment building's staff calling her an "evil bunny" when they forgot to hang up after leaving her a voicemail.

No matter how kind we might like to be, we all know that there are going to be people in the world who we don't especially like, and who are not big fans of us either.

But it's not fun to overhear someone speaking poorly of you, especially recorded in a voicemail that you could play over and over.

That was the experience TikToker Grace (@www.slayy.net) had when she, as a tenant, received a phone call from her apartment complex's front office, accusing her of smoking in her apartment.

Not only was Grace not smoking in her apartment as the front office thought, but when the call technically ended, the employee who called her did not properly hang up the phone. According to the voicemail left on Grace's phone, the employee had some choice opinions about her that she had no problem venting to her coworkers.

In the video, Grace sits and awkwardly smiles while the employee talks about her:

"She looks like a little, innocent bunny, but really, she is an evil bunny."
"You know those cartoons where you see a bunny and it turns all like, oh sh*t!? Right?"

Another employee randomly adds to the conversation in the background:

"Isn't she Spanish?"

Fellow TikTokers encouraged Grace to report the incident to the company.

Others also encouraged Grace to use this to leverage free rent or other utilities.

In a follow-up video, Grace said that she wasn't looking for a confrontation or to get anyone fired.

She also said that she was "too scared" of stirring up issues, since the woman who had called her lived in the same building on the property as Grace—and even on the same floor—so they'd inevitably continue to see each other all the time.

But after telling her parents about the incident, her father called on her behalf to complain. As a result, the woman called Grace to apologize, and when Grace said she was not interested in having a conversation, the woman insisted on continuing to talk.

She expressed concern about things being "awkward" when seeing each other in the future, and she stated that she had "embarrassed" herself. To cope with the unwanted conversation, Grace started responding in rabbit puns, including, "I'm all ears for your apology."

The puns definitely would have made some of the TikTokers proud.

When the woman would not stop venting her concerns, Grace responded with a pun she could not ignore:

"I promise I'll be a nice bunny... and she totally clocked that."

Replying to @kaye.dixon444 these are my revised spark notes #evilbunny

Though Grace was not interested in getting anyone fired or even getting free rent, hopefully the woman who spoke about her will think twice about speaking poorly about others in the future.

Or at the very least, figure out how to use technology properly.

CNN Panelist Epically Rips Conservative Pundit After He Tries To Downplay Epstein Files

Podcast host Leigh McGowan criticized conservative CNN panelist Scott Jennings on Monday over his cavalier attitude about the Justice Department's failure to release the Epstein files, calling his response “insane” and “horrifying.”

The DOJ has released less than 1% of the Epstein files. The department acknowledged that it has released just 12,285 documents—totaling 125,575 pages—related to Epstein, even though federal law required the bulk of those records to be made public by December 19.

New Data On How Trump Is Polling With Gen Z Is A Disastrous Wake-Up Call For His Administration

According to the latest polling data highlighted on CNN, President Donald Trump's support among Gen Z voters has fallen considerably—a remarkable shift in public opinion from a cohort whose support proved crucial to his 2024 election win.

Trump's 2024 campaign received a massive boost thanks to the efforts of Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk, the far-right activist who was assassinated in September. Kirk galvanized the youth vote but those gains have not held steady since Trump entered office.
