Kids Pull Stuck Sheep Out Of Narrow Trench Only For It To Accidentally Jump Right Back In

Kids Pull Stuck Sheep Out Of Narrow Trench Only For It To Accidentally Jump Right Back In

They say no good deed goes unpunished, and that maxim apparently extends to the animal kingdom too.

A new viral video shows a boy helping a sheep to get unstuck from a deep, narrow trench only for the sheep to jump right back in again practically the moment it is released.

Sheep aren't exactly known to be the smartest of animals, but this is ridiculous.

youtu.be

In the video, the poor sheep was stuck head-down inside the trench, with only his woolly legs and behind visible. Perhaps this is the sheep version of getting your car stuck in the mud or snow.

Who among us hasn't been there once or twice?

Thankfully, a Good Samaritan came to the rescue. A boy grabbed the sheep's hind quarters and wriggled it free from the trench to go on with its sheepy life.

The sheep seemed overjoyed at its newfound freedom, bounding away with a pep in its step.

Hooray!

And then, when it came time to cross over the trench again, it leapt into the air in a perfect arc, seeming to hover in midair for just a beautiful, breathtaking moment, before falling straight down directly back into the trench from which it had just come, like a waffle popping out of a toaster but in reverse.

Man, come on!

No offense, sheep, but get your life together.

Giphy

The video is undeniably hilarious—the timing with which the sheep perfectly plunks itself back into the trench is straight out of a Looney Tunes cartoon.

And on Twitter, people simply cannot stop laughing about this hapless sheep.

And a new meme was born.

No word as of this writing if the boy was able to get the sheep out again, or if it is still there, bleating into the abyss.

We wish it the best of luck either way.
