Steve Bannon Vows to Take Over Entire U.S. Election Apparatus in Unhinged Rant

Steve Bannon Vows to Take Over Entire U.S. Election Apparatus in Unhinged Rant

Far-right Trump ally and white nationalist Steve Bannon has vocally supported former President Donald Trump's nonsense claims that the 2020 presidential election was "rigged" and "stolen."

Bannon is currently dodging a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection, when a mob of pro-Trump extremists stormed the United States Capitol in hopes of preventing Congress' certification of then-President-elect Joe Biden's victory. Bannon has confirmed that on January 5, he met with Trump's personal lawyer—Rudy Giuliani—and other allies of the then-President to "kill the Biden presidency in the crib."

In the months since, Bannon has continued to peddle the lie that Trump was the legitimate winner of the 2020 election—and that Trump may even be retake the White House before the 2024 election. On his podcast, Bannon has already discussed the supposed need for thousands of right-wing "shock troops" to take over bureaucratic positions in the U.S. government.

And this past week, Bannon went a step further, claiming his ilk needs to take over the "entire election apparatus."

Watch below.

Bannon said:

"And guess what? We're going to take over the election apparatus. American citizens that are volunteering. I understand you don't think that's democracy, cause the globalists have done the misdirection plays and had everybody looking the other way. No, those days are over. Because this audience has given of themselves before. ... They are now going to volunteer to become a precinct committeeman, they're gonna volunteer to become an election official, they're gonna come and run for county clerk and overthrow these county clerks. They're going to take over the secretaries of state."

Trump's effort to subvert the people's votes only failed because of election board supervisors, county clerks, and secretaries of state—many of whom were Republican—who refused to promote false claims of election fraud or use their positions to install Trump as President.

The effort Bannon describes—filling election positions with so-called "patriots" willing to embrace fantasies of widespread voter fraud—is already underway.

Bannon's words left social media users uneasy.

Many called for action to mobilize against the effort.

Model Accuses Fashion Brand Of Using AI To Recreate Her Looks For Ad Instead Of Hiring Her

There used to be laws in place for someone's likeness being used without their consent, and most certainly if their likeness was being used in an exploitative way for profit.
