Sean Connery, an actor as renown for his temper as his talent, has passed away at the age of 90. The internet has been flooded with condolences and controversy over his legacy since the news broke on Saturday.

Regardless of how you felt about Connery as an actor or a personality, it's impossible to deny that he spawned some of the best, worst, and best-worst impressions from comedians far and wide.

Almost everybody does a Connery impression. Most of them involve slurred pronunciation and a bad attitude.

But almost nobody has done Connery's signature "slur-itude" to as much critical acclaim and fanfare as SNL alum Darrell Hammond.

Hammond took a moment to offer kind words and laughter in response to the actors passing.

Twitter had a good laugh at Hammond's work.

And gave a nod to the man who inspired the laughs.

Our condolences to Connery's friends, family, and fans.
