Track star Sha'Carri Richardson recorded herself during an incident that occurred on an American Airlines plane.
Richardson was asked by a flight attendant to end a phone call and put her phone in airplane mode, but she apparently did not appreciate his tone.
She began recording a video, and in response, the flight attendant said:
"You can't record."
Richardson replied:
"You're harassing me at this point so I think you should stop, I think you should stop."
Passengers can also be heard on the video, replying to her comments as the flight attendant continued to ask Richardson to stop recording.
Richardson posted her video to Instagram. From there it was shared on Twitter.

Richardson took another video after she was asked to exit the plane. After several requests, Richardson eventually exited the plane as passengers applauded.
She captioned the video:
"Tell me if I'll be wrong to pursue legal actions against the airline @americanair. Not only did the man threaten me but also an innocent bystander who simply just wanted a picture with me."
"In the beginning of the video, you can hear a Caucasian male state that he doesn't give a f as a man that male flight attendant is intimidating a woman."
"Also the captain not doing anything to help the situation and this flight attendant has the applause when I exited the plane when I'm pretty serious the disrespect I received would not have happened if I was one of them."

Unfortunately for Richardson, it seems a majority of viewers are not on her side.
i don’t care WHO you are - follow rules - and when the doors are closed - stop conversations and turn the phone in airplane mode

Such a trivial thing. Just put the phone down for a few minutes. You can switch it on once you’re in the air. Why make everything a big issue?

Sha’Carri Richardson I wanna root for you so bad mama but you're making it tougher and tougher

When the flight attendants asked nicely for her to place her phone on airplane mode. She should have done that. It caused everyone else on the plane to be delayed

I’ve been flying globally for over 30 years. The rules are the rules whether you like or agree with them or not. The crews put up wit a lot, work long hours, and are responsible for safety and keeping order. Check your ego, attitude, and entitlement, be polite, it will be ok.

The video shows that the only person doing the disrespecting is Her. She disrespected all the people in the plane with this departure delay....Girl...grow up..just put the phone away for 5 minutes until the plane is up in the air...getto..

If passengers start to applaud when you leave the plane, it’s a pretty good sign that you’re in the wrong.

Next time, follow the rule and don’t create problems for other people that have places to go.

NBC news reached out, but a spokesperson for Richardson said she "has nothing to add at this time."
