Realtor Horrified After Neighbor Next To Open House Hangs Stuffed Monkeys From Nooses In Racist Display

When purchasing a new home there are quite a few things to take into consideration.

Are the schools in the district the right fit for any children? Is the home a fair commute to the office?

Are there things to do in the area? Is it safe?

However, one thing thats shouldn't have to be considered is, do the neighbors hang stuffed monkeys from nooses with Black Lives Matter signs to signal their racist beliefs?

A TikTok is going viral on the social media platform showing neighbors in a Georgia community doing just that.

The realtor working to sell the house next door recorded their chilling display.

@shiatherealtor

I get it. You’re entitled to your opinion. However, what you not about to do is demonstrate hate crime against us. The effort they go through to try to upset and bash us should be placed elsewhere… this is in Decatur, Ga btw! I could say so much more.. but here you go internet.

In a TikTok posted on March 13 by Shia (@shiatherealtor), a realtor in Georgia, Shia alleged the neighbors of an open house “didn’t want any Black neighbors.”

Since being posted, the disheartening video has been viewed a staggering 1.5 million times, has over 250,000 likes, and has motivated the TikTok community to leave over 14,000 comments, most of which display shock and disgust at the display.

In the 24-second video, viewers can see trees and objects hanging from the branches.

As someone gets closer to the trees, presumably Shia, they can be heard saying:

"So while I was visiting an open house for the house next door, apparently they didn't want any Black neighbors."
"They knew that there would be plenty of traffic coming through, in and out."
"They have a white lamb, indicating White people, I guess, and the monkeys, indicating Black people, hanging from a tree."

The horrifying scene also featured signs that read:

"Sometimes you have to pick the gun up... to put the gun down"

...and:

"Black Lives Matter???"

The caption to Shia's video read:

"I get it. You’re entitled to your opinion."
"However, what you not about to do is demonstrate hate crime against us."
"The effort they go through to try to upset and bash us should be placed elsewhere… this is in Decatur, Ga btw!"
"I could say so much more.. but here you go internet."

With many TikTokers asking Shia to post an update video, Shia shared a follow-up TikTok in which she reports when she went back to visit the neighborhood after the open house, she saw the owner of the house that hung the racist display taking it down.

@shiatherealtor

I want to also thank everyone for the love that you have shown. Shared, supported, reaching out, everything! I am truly appreciative. ❤️❤️❤️

When encouraged to report the racist display to the police by a number of TikTokers who viewed the video, Shia took to the comments section to notify them of the neighbor's consistent acts of racism.

@Shiatherealtor

Shia has since received an outpouring of love and support from the TikTok community for her experience.

It's a comfort to know there are still welcoming people in this world.

Model Accuses Fashion Brand Of Using AI To Recreate Her Looks For Ad Instead Of Hiring Her

There used to be laws in place for someone's likeness being used without their consent, and most certainly if their likeness was being used in an exploitative way for profit.

But now with the rise of AI-generated photographs, advertisements, and other digital products, the lines seem to have become muddied between the illegal stealing of someone's likeness and AI "inspiration."

Employees in commission-based positions are feeling increasingly pressured to acquire new clients, retain previous clients, and solve the issues their clients call in about with high satisfaction ratings.

Even though tensions are high, and the pressure they're feeling may be unrealistic for any one person to take, that doesn't give them the right to mistreat people who do not want to sign up or want to cancel.
