In case you've been living under a rock, it's been hot out lately.
Real hot, especially if you're sitting in a United States Postal Service mail delivery truck, getting out and hauling letters, magazines and packages in the hot sun. Sometimes all you need is an ice cold water, which is what TikToker ThatPostalDad—@thatpostdad—found inside the mailbox at a house on his route.
ThatPostalDad has an account full of snippets from his postal route.
In the most recent of his videos to go viral, he opened the mailbox to see a cold bottle of water, exclaiming loudly, then in the next shot pouring it all over himself.
Truly a visceral feeling many could get behind, as the video quickly shot to virality.
@thatpostaldad It was actually 110 today, so its officially "frozen water bottle in the mailbox" season! thank you to everyone who does this, we appreciate you! #usps #amazonfinds #ups #fedex
People learn a lot about the daily lives of postal workers from his TikTok.
One question many folks had on this video was:
"Wait, we can do that?"
Yes.

It doesn't look like the heat is going to stop anytime soon, so maybe it's time to start freezing some water bottles.
