Nicki Minaj has had no shortage of controversial moments across her career.

In this case, Nicki has decided she's switched sexualities—a comment not sitting well with many queer fans.


On Doja Cat's "Say So" remix, Minaj includes the lyrics:

"Tell Mike Jordan send me my retros / Used to be bi now I'm just hetero."

Minaj has since claimed she was never bi in the first place, telling Rolling Stone:

"I think girls are sexy...But I'm not going to lie and say that I date girls."





Though the argument can be made that whatever Nicki is experiencing is valid.

Most people are of the mind that it invalidates bisexual identity.

There is already some serious disrespect from both straight and queer folks leveled at bisexual people.





Sexuality is fluid, but most experts and advocates agree it is not a choice.

Some argued Minaj's comments undercut the entire LGBTQ+ community.





This is not the first time Nicki Minaj has come under fire for homophobia in her music.
