Legendary musician Neil Young is no fan of President Donald Trump—but it appears the Trump campaign is a fan of his.

The campaign played three of Young's songs—including the classic "Rockin' in the Free World"—at his recent Independence Day speech in front of Mount Rushmore in Keystone, South Dakota.

Young condemned the use of his work at Trump's rallies.

Young, however, won't be suing Trump, emphasizing in an open letter that he didn't want to distract from Trump's work on the health crisis that's killed over 130 thousand Americans. In fact, Young announced that he rewrote his song "Looking for a Leader" to specifically apply to Trump.

He welcomed the President's use of "Looking for a Leader 2020" at his rallies:

"I suggest you listen to my song 'Looking for a Leader 2020,' available on my website, neilyoungarchives.com as part of a work I recently completed with my wife—'The Porch Episode,' as I believe it would be an interesting addition to your next rally."

You can listen to the full song here, beginning at the 17:15 mark.

The lyrics endorse presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, with lyrics like:

"Yeah we had Barack Obama,
And we really need him now.
The man who stood behind him
Has to take his place somehow."

Young then targets Trump:

"America has a leader
Building walls around our house
Don't know Black lives matter,
and we've got to vote him out."

Finally, the musician urges voters to take the 2020 election seriously:

"We got our election
But corruption has a chance
We got to have a big win
to regain confidence
America is beautiful
But she has an ugly side
We're looking for a leader in this country far and wide."

People applauded Young's updated version of the popular song.

Some people still wished the musician would take legal action against Trump playing Young's hits at his rallies.

Young's lyrical rebuke comes just months after he eviscerated Trump in an open letter this past February.

Trump Ripped For Forcing Federal Agencies To Send Bonkers Email To Workers Blaming Democrats For Shutdown

President Donald Trump is facing heavy criticism after he ordered federal agencies to send out emails to furloughed workers blaming Democrats in Congress for the government shutdown Tuesday night—a move that's been called out for violating ethics guidelines.

The federal government shut down early Wednesday after the White House and Congress failed to reach an agreement on federal spending. While Senate Democrats are in the minority, they hold enough seats to filibuster and are insisting that Republicans agree to extend federal subsidies for people insured under the Affordable Care Act.
