Nancy Pelosi Ran Out of F**ks to Give When Summing Up the GOP's Attitude Negotiating the Next Relief Package

Nancy Pelosi Ran Out of F**ks to Give When Summing Up the GOP's Attitude Negotiating the Next Relief Package
CNBC

Democratic and Republican lawmakers are scrambling to negotiate the conditions of another pandemic stimulus package that would make it to President Donald Trump's desk.

Major points of contention are on the continuation of expanded unemployment benefits, hazard pay for frontline workers, and liability protections for businesses whose employees contract the virus.

Republicans, who advocate for liability protections and largely against expanded unemployment benefits, are accused of prioritizing corporate interests over the needs of the millions of Americans financially impacted by the pandemic.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) bluntly stated her evaluation of GOP concerns for working Americans in an interview on CNBC.

Watch below.

When asked why Republicans are expressing hesitation at expanded allocations for working class Americans, Pelosi responded:

"Perhaps you mistook them for someone who gives a damn for what you just described."

She elaborated:

"They don't believe in governance, and that requires some acts of government to do that."

Pelosi and other prominent Democratic lawmakers have called for the Republican-dominated Senate to take up the HEROES Act, a package passed by the House of Representatives in May which the Senate has yet to bring to the floor.

The additional $600 to existing unemployment benefits expired at the end of July, adding even more urgency to these congressional negotiations.

People were so here for Pelosi's frank assessment.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has accused Democrats of letting unemployment benefits expire since they didn't accept a one week extension for the expanded benefits.

People aren't buying it.

Negotiations are expected to continue until at least the end of the week.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
