Though the specific contents of interactions between foreign leaders are usually kept secret, the details of a series of calls between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Donald Trump were recently leaked.

Carl Bernstein from CNN reported that during Trump's conversations with Merkel, one of America's most important European allies, he regularly insulted and bullied her for no obvious reason.

Bernstein wrote:

"Some of the things [Trump] said to Angela Merkel are just unbelievable: he called her 'stupid,' and accused her of being in the pocket of the Russians. He's toughest with those he looks at as weaklings and weakest with the ones he ought to be tough with."

Sources report that Merkel stayed calm and on topic as Trump went off the rails, though the German government also tried to keep details of the calls under wraps because the President's behavior was "aggressive" and "problematic."

Twitter was livid at the President's blatant misogyny.

Not only is Trump's behavior offensive, it's also harmful to American interests overseas.

Not only were Trump's alleged insults uncalled for, they were also far from the truth.

It's hard to believe a President acting this way with a close U.S. ally.

Trump's pattern of being unusually harsh toward's female world leaders is well documented.

Bernstein also reported that in talks with U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May, he told her she was a "fool" and "weak."

Who knows which important world leader President Trump will insult next?

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had people nodding their heads after she opened up about why democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani's win in the New York City mayoral election on Tuesday is so important for the country at large as well as for the future of the Democratic Party.

Mamdani successfully took on the establishment to become the first South Asian, first Muslim, and first millennial mayor-elect, running a campaign that focused predominantly on the city's affordability crisis and that successfully batted away racist and Islamophobic backlash from right-wingers who claimed his policies would "destroy" the city.

People Who Quit Their Jobs On Day One Reveal What Made Them Say 'Nope, Not Doing This'

Every now and then, simply because we need money, we might take a job that doesn't fulfill us in any way, but at least keeps our bank accounts happy.

Some jobs, however, are so soul-sucking that even with no other prospects immediately on the horizon, we can't, in good conscience, keep working them.
