Men Share The Most Wholesome Thing Their Guy Friends Have Ever Done For Them
male, friends, laughing, happy, man, men, family, sunset, joke ...

Some of my favorite people are my guy friends. I feel very fortunate to have them and have seen them through relationships, weddings, drama, and everything in between. To have their love and support means the world. I've been very lucky to have great guy friends -- some other men aren't so lucky.

After Redditor dratonious asked the online community, "Men of Reddit, what's the most wholesome thing your male friend has done for you?" men lined up to share their stories.

"Another male friend didn't even know the first guy..."

Very close friend, like a brother to me, died. Another male friend didn't even know the first guy, but did know I'd be torn up about it, so he showed up on my doorstep on the anniversary of his death, with a packet of peanut butter chocolate cookies in hand, and hauled me out into the sunshine to go out to the shopping center and buy some cider.

That's all I ate that day; those cookies and a bottle or two of cider.

I don't think he knows just how much that meant to me.

"One of my friends makes fun of me..."

I told a group of friends that I had a heart condition that makes my heart beat abnormally slow and as a result I always feel tired and fatigued. It was frustrating because we were on vacation but I had to sleep like 14 hours a day.

One of my friends makes fun of me for sleeping so much and my best friend absolutely laid into him. It's the first time I've seen him so legitimately upset as he's always such an easy going and loving person.

I don't know why that meant so much to me but it did.

"He took out a personal loan..."

He took out a personal loan so we could both fly to Germany to visit our best friends. To this day, the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. He doesn't know that I know about it and has never tried to take credit for it.

"He takes me out for a meal..."

When I was out of Uni I had no job, didn't really see anyone and felt depressed about not being able to afford anything. He takes me out for a meal and drinks and paid for everything. Might not seem much but made the world of difference at the time.

"We chat on the phone..."

We chat on the phone for hours. Actually just got off the phone with him a little bit. We talk maybe once a month but anytime I need advice he's there and we can talk about anything.

"I was getting picked up..."

I was getting picked up at the airport from a flight by another friend. My best friend knew that I'd had a rough day on the trip, so he hid under some blankets in the back seat and brought me a bottle of my favorite chocolate milk as a welcome home gift.

"Pulled some strings..."

Pulled some strings and took a risk getting me the job I have now. It's a position I wanted, but wasn't quite ready for and was having a hard time transitioning my career that way. So when he got permission to add a new member to his stack, he basically said "I have one candidate and one candidate alone" and pulled me in. This is a company that does 90% of it's promoting from within, so I was a definite risk to him and his ambitions and reputation.

"Out of nowhere..."

Out of nowhere reached out, after years of not seeing each other, and let me know I had left him with a lot of positive memories.

It made my day. Or month.

"My best friend..."

My best friend in Ohio drove to North Carolina and he picked me up to help me move to Ohio.

"That day..."

I have been in a rough spot this year due to Covid and work. After having a really bad two weeks my best friend and my twin brother got together and told me to meet them after work one day for dinner. It's not easy to see them all the time due to us all living in almost opposite parts of the city we are in.

I remember being happy to drive and see them, and when I opened the door they were there with a couple more friends and my wife al happy I could make it. My friend told me he had a late gift for me and he and my brother pulled out alot of warhammer models for me. They told me it wasn't much but they thought it would be a start to replace the army that was stolen at the start of the year.

That day and the knowledge that those two along with my wife will always be there for me has helped alot these last couple weeks.

Ted Cruz Accidentally Rips Himself With Epic Self-Own While Attempting To Attack AOC In Viral Clip

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz accidentally told on himself while trying to insult New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during a Fox News interview on Monday for going from working as a bartender to being a federal government employee—what he called a "parasite."

Cruz appeared on the network after Ocasio-Cortez argued during a speaking event last week that the American Revolution was fought “against the billionaires of their time” and defended her previous claim that billionaires cannot truly “earn” that level of wealth without others suffering in the process.

Democrats Waste No Time Turning Trump's Tone-Deaf Response To Question About Americans' 'Financial Situation' Amid Iran War Into An Ad

Ahead of a trip to China, President Donald Trump was asked whether he thinks about Americans' "financial situation" when negotiating with Iran—and his extremely revealing remarks were quickly seized on by Democrats, who gleefully turned the clip into a damning political ad.

Republicans have faced pressure from constituents nationwide to address the rising cost of living, but Americans are feeling pain at the pump now that the Iran war, which the Trump administration kicked off in late February, has prompted a spike in gas prices.

Sally Field Shares Hilarious Theory For Why Her Son Is Gay—And It Makes Total Sense

If being raised around Steel Magnolias somehow “turned” people gay, an entire generation of LGBTQ millennials would like a word. Fortunately, Sally Field is more than happy to laugh along with the theory, especially because it came directly from her son.

At the time Field filmed the beloved 1989 classic, her youngest son, Sam, was just 6 months old and frequently on set alongside the movie’s now-iconic cast. The actor recently reflected on the experience while speaking with People, recalling how close the production became during filming in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

A 2008 Photo Of Pope Leo Rocking Nike Sneakers Has The Internet Bringing The Jokes

No matter what a person's opinions might be of him, Pope Leo XIV has transformed our perception of who the Pope is by simply being himself.

As the first American Pope and a lover of the White Sox and Peeps marshmallows, he's greatly humanized the role since his induction in May 2025, and he's been giving not only of spirit but of inspiration for internet memes.
