Men Share The Most Wholesome Thing Their Guy Friends Have Ever Done For Them
male, friends, laughing, happy, man, men, family, sunset, joke ...

Some of my favorite people are my guy friends. I feel very fortunate to have them and have seen them through relationships, weddings, drama, and everything in between. To have their love and support means the world. I've been very lucky to have great guy friends -- some other men aren't so lucky.

After Redditor dratonious asked the online community, "Men of Reddit, what's the most wholesome thing your male friend has done for you?" men lined up to share their stories.

"Another male friend didn't even know the first guy..."

Very close friend, like a brother to me, died. Another male friend didn't even know the first guy, but did know I'd be torn up about it, so he showed up on my doorstep on the anniversary of his death, with a packet of peanut butter chocolate cookies in hand, and hauled me out into the sunshine to go out to the shopping center and buy some cider.

That's all I ate that day; those cookies and a bottle or two of cider.

I don't think he knows just how much that meant to me.

"One of my friends makes fun of me..."

I told a group of friends that I had a heart condition that makes my heart beat abnormally slow and as a result I always feel tired and fatigued. It was frustrating because we were on vacation but I had to sleep like 14 hours a day.

One of my friends makes fun of me for sleeping so much and my best friend absolutely laid into him. It's the first time I've seen him so legitimately upset as he's always such an easy going and loving person.

I don't know why that meant so much to me but it did.

"He took out a personal loan..."

He took out a personal loan so we could both fly to Germany to visit our best friends. To this day, the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. He doesn't know that I know about it and has never tried to take credit for it.

"He takes me out for a meal..."

When I was out of Uni I had no job, didn't really see anyone and felt depressed about not being able to afford anything. He takes me out for a meal and drinks and paid for everything. Might not seem much but made the world of difference at the time.

"We chat on the phone..."

We chat on the phone for hours. Actually just got off the phone with him a little bit. We talk maybe once a month but anytime I need advice he's there and we can talk about anything.

"I was getting picked up..."

I was getting picked up at the airport from a flight by another friend. My best friend knew that I'd had a rough day on the trip, so he hid under some blankets in the back seat and brought me a bottle of my favorite chocolate milk as a welcome home gift.

"Pulled some strings..."

Pulled some strings and took a risk getting me the job I have now. It's a position I wanted, but wasn't quite ready for and was having a hard time transitioning my career that way. So when he got permission to add a new member to his stack, he basically said "I have one candidate and one candidate alone" and pulled me in. This is a company that does 90% of it's promoting from within, so I was a definite risk to him and his ambitions and reputation.

"Out of nowhere..."

Out of nowhere reached out, after years of not seeing each other, and let me know I had left him with a lot of positive memories.

It made my day. Or month.

"My best friend..."

My best friend in Ohio drove to North Carolina and he picked me up to help me move to Ohio.

"That day..."

I have been in a rough spot this year due to Covid and work. After having a really bad two weeks my best friend and my twin brother got together and told me to meet them after work one day for dinner. It's not easy to see them all the time due to us all living in almost opposite parts of the city we are in.

I remember being happy to drive and see them, and when I opened the door they were there with a couple more friends and my wife al happy I could make it. My friend told me he had a late gift for me and he and my brother pulled out alot of warhammer models for me. They told me it wasn't much but they thought it would be a start to replace the army that was stolen at the start of the year.

That day and the knowledge that those two along with my wife will always be there for me has helped alot these last couple weeks.

Jasmine Crockett Calls Out Trump's Hypocrisy By Pointing Out How Melania Got Her Visa

Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett pointed out President Donald Trump's hypocrisy on immigration considering how First Lady Melania Trump's pathway to citizenship was possible because she received an "Einstein visa," which is usually reserved for an individual with "some sort of significant achievement."

Speaking during a House Judiciary Committee hearing titled “Restoring Integrity and Security to the Visa Process,” Crockett noted that “the idea that Trump and my Republican colleagues want to restore integrity and security in the visa process is actually a joke," and harshly criticized the Trump administration's immigration crackdown and visa restrictions.

Fox Host Comes To Reporter's Defense After Pete Hegseth Berates Her At Pentagon Briefing

Fox News' chief political analyst Brit Hume came to the defense of Fox national security reporter Jennifer Griffin after their former colleague, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, criticized Griffin as the reporter "who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says” in a Pentagon news conference.

Hegseth, a former Fox News anchor, had criticized media outlets—including his former network—for what he described as unpatriotic reporting. Hegseth took particular aim at early intelligence assessments suggesting that President Donald Trump's bombing of Iran may not have significantly crippled Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

Fox Host Slams Dem For Dropping An F-Bomb After Praising Trump For The Same Thing Just Minutes Earlier

Fox News host Emily Compagno was criticized after she praised Donald Trump's use of the "f-bomb" earlier this week before condemning Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett's use of the same word—on the same episode of her show, no less.

Trump made headlines this week after admonishing Israel and Iran for violating a ceasefire agreement he'd announced on Truth Social. Although he claimed the ceasefire had been "agreed upon," Iran fired at least six missile barrages at Israel after it was supposed to take effect.
