Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California tried to take a swipe at Democratic President Joe Biden on Twitter by using a Biden campaign slogan in reference to former President Trump's infamous border wall that Mexico didn't pay for.

Twitter wasn't a huge fan of McCarthy's attempted shade, quickly sending him a few notes of their own.

Many people online reminded McCarthy of his recent useful government activity—reading Green Eggs & Ham on Twitter.

Before long, "Dear Kevin" was trending.

McCarthy is urging Biden to spend money on a border wall across the southern border while voting against the Democrats' pandemic relief bill.

McCarthy's sense of priorities seemed a bit out of whack to many.

It seems Twitter isn't the best place for Kevin McCarthy to be hanging out if he doesn't want to get made fun of.
