After working on his 2016 campaign, Presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway was offered a White House job by President Donald Trump.
Since then, Conway has become one of the most familiar faces of the Trump administration, readily doling out talking points to justify policies and falsehoods put forth by the White House. To many Trump critics, Conway's work for the President has played an insidious role in normalizing the chaos and cruelty occurring during Trump's tenure as President.
Like numerous other Trump officials have done before her, Conway announced on Sunday that she would be leaving the White House.
I'm Leaving the White House. Gratefully & Humbly.
Here is my statement:https://t.co/MpYxVfrY2N
God Bless You All.

Conway cited a need to focus on her family in a statement:
"I will be transitioning from the White House at the end of this month. George is also making changes. We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids. Our four children are teens and 'tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids 'doing school from home' requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times"
Conway's announcement comes at a time of much speculation regarding the dynamics of the Conway family. Her husband, Conservative lawyer George Conway, is a vocal opponent of the President and one of the founders of the anti-Trump PAC, the Lincoln Project.
Conway's 15 year old daughter, Claudia Conway, went viral this past summer for a series of TikToks decrying the administration employing her mother.
The day before Kellyanne Conway's announcement, Claudia Conway fired off a series of tweets claiming her mother's job had "ruined her life" and that she was working toward familial emancipation.
i'm devasted that my mother is actually speaking at the RNC. like DEVASTATED beyond compare

i'm officially pushing for emancipation. buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. welcome to my life
— CLAUDIA CONWAY (@claudiamconwayy) August 23, 2020
i have been using social media as an outlet to express my passions, individuality, and to shed light on some hardships. i have been vulnerable for a reason. thank you for supporting me. ❤️
— CLAUDIA CONWAY (@claudiamconwayy) August 23, 2020
my mother's job ruined my life to begin with. heartbreaking that she continues to go down that path after years of watching her children suffer. selfish. it's all about money and fame, ladies and gentlemen.
— CLAUDIA CONWAY (@claudiamconwayy) August 23, 2020
as for my dad, politically, we agree on absolutely nothing. we just both happen to have common sense when it comes to our current president. stop “stanning" him
— CLAUDIA CONWAY (@claudiamconwayy) August 23, 2020
y'all love to twist everything 😭😭 i'm not getting emancipated because of my mom's job.. it is because of years of childhood trauma and abuse
— CLAUDIA CONWAY (@claudiamconwayy) August 23, 2020
In a later tweet, Claudia Conway announced that she'd be taking a break from social media.
George Conway also announced that he'd be withdrawing from the Lincoln Project.
So I'm withdrawing from @ProjectLincoln to devote more time to family matters. And I'll be taking a Twitter hiatus.
Needless to say, I continue to support the Lincoln Project and its mission. Passionately.

The dynamics and timing of Kellyanne Conway's announcement only added more fuel to speculation about the Conway family.
Kellyanne Conway has left the White House.
George Conway is taking a break from Twitter & The Lincoln Project.
And all it took was 15-year-old Claudia filing for emancipation and telling the Internet every five minutes that her parents suck and she's embarrassed of them. pic.twitter.com/umRiMiXQ9n

Claudia Conway got both of her parents (Kellyanne Conway and George Conway) to withdraw from political life with Five Tweets and a TikTok.
She's 15.

So, Kellyanne Conway is leaving the White House at the end of the month and George Conway is leaving the Lincoln Project. Both are going to be focusing on their family. I guess their daughter Claudia's tweets made them realize what is important!

Regardless of the impetus of Kellyanne Conway's departure, people were happy to see her go.
Goodbye Kellyanne Conway and good riddance. You helped a monster, you spread disinformation, you helped damage America.
— Touré (@Toure) August 24, 2020
Please do not allow Kellyanne's family problems erase the fact she's been working for and defending a fascist regime. Sure, she loves her daughter, but she sold her soul and lives were lost...literally. She lied to us every day.
Kellyanne Conway should be shunned for life.

Thousands of brown mothers can't quit their jobs to spend time with their kids because Kellyanne Conway stole them and put them in cages.
— Mikel Jollett (@Mikel_Jollett) August 24, 2020
Some predict that Kellyanne will become yet another ally-turned-critic of the President.
Kellyanne Conway, who coined “alternative facts", abetted the rise of fascism in our country
Even if she criticizes Trump (as she will to sell books), she is not one of us
She is not the Resistance. Please share and pass it onhttps://t.co/gQcfVxzB0s
— Lindy Li (@lindyli) August 24, 2020
in a month she will say one thing mildly critical of trump and some of y'all will be like welcome to the resistance https://t.co/ZARRv98YmT
— Saladin Ahmed (@saladinahmed) August 24, 2020
kellyanne Conway is going to do a tell-all book in like 7 months and the hashtag resistance is going to love her
