"Avengers: Infinity War" may have left the future a little murky for Spider-Man, but fear not, superhero fans! The next installment in Marvel's take on the friendly neighborhood web-slinger is set to start filming this July, with an expected release on July 5, 2019, so no matter how things turn out with the Avengers, there will definitely be more Tom Holland in the future. But who, fans are wondering will be playing the next movie's villain? Rumors have emerged that Oscar-winning actor Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to star opposite Peter Parker as the dastardly Mysterio!

Fans (of both Spiderman and Gyllenhaal) were on cloud 9!




Though some had some conditions...




...and others were still a little bit skeptical.
