Glendale Fire Department Capt. Dave Colson got the adorable greeting from his young daughter after helping check on a gas leak down the street from his home.

The Glendale Fire Department's Facebook page shared a precious photo of a toddler running up to greet her firefighter daddy following a resolved incident.

The adorable snapshot melted the hearts of social media users.

Captain Dave Colson works on the hazardous materials team for the department located in the city of Glendale–which is 10 miles northwest of Phoenix, Arizona.

A spokesperson for the department told McClatchy News that Colson and his crew were responding to a call of a gas leak at a location that happened to be down the street from where Colson lived.

When the situation was taken care of, Colson's wife allowed their eager daughter to greet him.

The spokesperson said of the firefighter's wife:

"She quickly snapped this photo of them just before he swept her into his arms for a hug."

The photo showed the little girl in her diaper making a beeline toward her daddy in the middle of the closed residential street.

Dad appeared to have a huge smile on his face as he walked to greet the toddler.

Facebook commenters agreed this was the kind of content the internet could use right now.

Jeff Bezos Just Claimed That Trump Is 'More Mature' In His Second Term—And Critics Can't Even

In one instance, the name Michael D. Gonzales was announced while two women received their diplomas.

Mandy Moore Finally Spoke Out About That 'Toxic Mom Group' Drama—And She Didn't Hold Back

People might hope that when they make a new friend, they'll be friends for life. But the truth is, most friends will only be there for a reason or a season, like going to school or working together.

For former High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, that season was new motherhood, a time when she was eager to meet women who understood the questions she had about babies and raising them, but also preferably women who understood what it was like trying to juggle being a successful businesswoman with being a mom, too.

JD Vance Just Tried To Give His Historical Hot Take On Pope Leo's Name—And He Missed The Point Entirely
