TikToker @hollandpaterno filmed her husband trying out a hot tub to make sure it was the right fit before committing to the costly purchase.

TikToker Holland Smith Paterno posted a video on TikTok that showed her husband trying out a hot tub in the store before purchasing, and viewers flocked the comments to defend his actions.

Paterno documented her husband giving a hot tub a good ol' fashioned "wet test" while other shoppers in the store continued to nonchalantly browse the aisles of otherwise dry and empty tubs.

The creator added the text:

"POV: you are buying a hot tub and your husband insists on doing the 'wet test' to make sure you're buying the right one."

Her husband can be seen approaching the purchase-in-question sporting swim trunks and toting a beach towel before ultimately taking the plunge.

The video - which has been viewed more than 1.1 million times now - garnered quite the response from highly entertained viewers.

Many in the comments questioned this newfound term "wet test."

And several were highly amused by the tester's mid-day, mid-store submersion.

But all in all, TikTok collectively agreed the "wet test" is the only way to ensure you're choosing wisely.

Paterno hasn't responded to requests for comment yet, but we're sure she's preoccupied at the moment, given the caption of her TikTok:

“Starting off the weekend strong we are proud new hottub owners."

We hope they can soak easy knowing they made the right decision.
