Speedy 7-Year-Old Girl Makes Incredible Comeback In 200-Meter Dash After Losing Her Shoe

For some people, getting thrown off your groove—especially right at the start of something—is enough to make them stop.

For some athletes, equipment malfunctions are enough to end your run.

For some kids, having something go wrong in front of a big crowd of people is enough to make them freeze.

Talaya Crawford isn't like any of those people. This kid's just built different.

The 7 year-old runner proved it to the world with an inspiring race caught on camera by her dad. Talaya's groove was shaken at the start of the race by an equipment malfunction (she lost a shoe! runners kind of need that) in front of a decent sized crowd during a track meet.

She didn't stop. She didn't end her run. She didn't freeze.

Talaya turned back, fixed the issue, and jumped right back in the race.

That right there is inspiring enough because 7 year-old me would absolutely have been like "Welp, the ancestors didn't want me doing cardio today. I'm out." and sat down with a juice box to watch the other kids run.

The little Crawford wasn't done inspiring.

Not only did she continue the race, she raced well! Starting from the far back of the pack - so far back that the cameraman had to zoom out to get everyone in the shot - Talaya caught up to the group.

And then started passing people.

Her groove was so un-thrown-off that she powered past all five other runners until she was at the far front of the pack - so far in front that the cameraman again had to zoom out to fit more runners in the frame.

It's the kind of run athletes dream about.

Talaya gets that grit, determination, and athleticism naturally. Her dad/cameraman (cameradad?) is undefeated world boxing champion Terence "Bud" Crawford. He posted the video on his Instagram page having a proud dad moment.nnnn knl j bb k

Dad wasn't the only one impressed by Talaya.

Instagram has been heaping praise on the little sis since her dad posted the clip. It started making the rounds in sports circles and quickly became one of the internets favorite motivational clips.

Just as quick as Talaya herself!

Tucker Carlson Dragged After His Conspiracy Theory Prediction About Trump's Speech Is Way Off

Former Fox News personality turned far-right podcaster Tucker Carlson was widely mocked after he made a bold prediction about what President Donald Trump would announce during his primetime address to the nation on Wednesday—namely that the U.S. would go to war with Venezuela.

But it turns out Carlson was very, very wrong. The speech was nowhere near that consequential and Trump spent the majority of it complaining about former President Joe Biden.
