Twitter users could not stop laughing after one of their own pointed out who New York Republican Representative George Santos reminds them of and the answer is bound to make perfect sense if you're a fan of HBO's Veep.
Twitter user @sunnyright went viral after they observed Santos—who recently admitted to “embellishing” his résumé following an extensive investigation by The New York Times that exposed multiple lies he told about his life story—looks like Will, the aide to Congressman Roger Furlong played by character actor Nelson Franklin.
@sunnyright said it had taken them "forever" to draw the connection between the newly minted Santos and Will from Veep but once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Santos—who is the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation—had earlier fessed up to at least some of his lies in an interview with The New York Post.
Santos told the Rupert Murdoch owned conservative tabloid he is “embarrassed” by his false and misleading statements but he nonetheless believes he will be an “effective” House Republican in the new Congress even as questions remain about his education, work history and even his source of income.
As more of Santos' lies continue to be exposed—subsequent New York Times investigations have unearthed possible campaign finance violations due to suspicious expenditures listed on his campaign disclosures—Republicans have largely denounced him and Santos told New York GOP officials he does not plan to run for reelection in 2024.
The scandal around Santos created so much controversy it compelled New York Democratic Representative Ritchie Torres to introduce the SANTOS Act—the acronym stands for Stop Another Non-Truthful Office Seeker—to punish any members of Congress who lie under oath about their employment, military service or education.
