The relationship between singer Grimes and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been nothing if not... let's go with different and interesting.

This week, the on-again-off-again couple who are off-again at the moment, had another Twitter conversation that might seem rather strange to most of us but is just another day in the lives of this eccentric pair.

After Grimes revealed she's looking into surgically altering her ears to look like an elf's, Musk had some unsolicited advice about the matter, seen below.

Musk wrote:

"The downside of elf ear surgery probably outweighs the upside"

Elf ears are just one of several body modifications Grimes told fans she is considering after announcing in a tweet "these next few years will be spent doing [all] my dream body mods."

Among the alterations she is considering is a "full-body tattoo plan," vampire teeth caps and modifications to her face—though she stipulated she will stop short of altering her unique nose, which she called her "key feature" in a response to a fan who begged her not to change it.

As for elf ears, Grimes responded to Musk with a joke about one of his pet companies, the genetic engineering firm Crispr.

Grimes responded:

"Tbh this sounds like a job for crispr. Sad to be born just a few generations too early 🧝🏻♀️😪🧝🏻♀️"

Crispr is a pioneer in the technology of gene editing therapy via synthetic DNA and RNA—though giving yourself elf ears is not yet on the company's menu.

On Twitter, a lot of people were not exactly charmed by Musk's unsolicited advice about Grimes' body when what she asked for was responses from people with experience.

Grimes and Musk first began dating in 2018 and have two children together, X Æ A-Xii Musk and Exa Dark Sideræl Musk.

Dems Release Trump's Birthday Letter To Epstein That Trump Claimed Doesn't Exist—And It's A Big Yikes

Democrats serving on the House of Representatives Oversight Committee released a screenshot of a letter MAGA Republican President Donald Trump claimed didn't exist when The Wall Street Journal published reports of its existence back in July.

The note signed by Trump was included in a collection of messages sent to convicted sex offender and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003—only three years before the first allegations about Epstein's crimes went public.
