The two musicians escalated their pretend feud after Capaldi led the chant against Sheeran at Radio One’s Big Weekend event.

It looks like there's no end in sight for Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi's heated "feud" as the latter just led a "F**k You, Ed" chant at Radio One's Big Weekend event after announcing Sheeran was not at the event.

And Sheeran found out.

The Shape of You singer took the video route and addressed Capaldi's onstage expletive outrage via Twitter.

Sheeran first shared a clip of the Capaldi chant followed with a close up of himself woefully expressing:

“I thought we were friends, Lewis. I thought we were friends..."

He then added - and bleeped out:

"You f**king c*nt."

Sheeran added the caption:

"I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved."
