Drew Barrymore Has A Joyous Meltdown While Standing In The Rain—And Fans Are All About It

Given the harrowing childhood she had, it's a wonder actor Drew Barrymore has the capacity for happiness at all, let alone the contagiously sunny disposition she seems to bring to everything.

Including a simple rain shower.

Barrymore recently filmed herself having a moment of spontaneous, unbridled joy in a New York City rain shower over the weekend.

Her slightly bonkers but definitely uplifting moment of rapture has fans smiling ear to ear.

Looking up into the sky as the rain splattered off her eyeglasses and matted her hair, Barrymore exclaimed:

"Whenever you can, go out in the rain, do not miss the opportunity!"

Excellent advice, and the contagious happiness mixed with kookiness radiating from the video was so intense that Barrymore began to trend on Twitter shortly after posting it.

Surely that's partly because in these dark days, any ray of sunshine is welcome--even if derived from rain.

But Barrymore is perhaps uniquely suited to appreciate the small things in life.

The progeny of a family of august and celebrated actors, Barrymore has been in the family business since she was a tyke, beginning her career just after her fourth birthday and becoming a household at seven after starring in the blockbuster E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.

Soon, she led a life that would land most parents in jail--she became a regular at infamously debauched New York disco Studio 54, and entered rehab for the first time at the age of 13.

In short, she's one of the rare success stories who was chewed up and spit out by the Hollywood machine before even reaching high school and not only lived to tell about it, but turned it all into a multi-faceted career.

Yep, that'll give you an appreciation for the little joys in life! And on Twitter her wacky jubilation was definitely contagious--and in some case downright inspiring.

So you heard the woman--the next time it rains, get out there and maniacally giggle in it. It just might heal what ails you!

President Donald Trump was widely mocked after he asserted during a 60 Minutes interview with Norah O'Donnell that he's "much better-looking" than New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani—a claim that not a soul is taking seriously.

Trump isn't exactly known to be a looker but he has nonetheless declared himself a "perfect physical specimen" and boasted about his physical prowess, once noting that his own White House physician had declared him "healthier than Obama"—despite Trump's distaste for exercise and fondness for fast food.
