President Donald Trump has "joked" that he intends to run for office again, despite already stepping into office for the maximum of two terms.
Some have clocked his interest in bending the rules for his benefit and claimed that others should be able to bend the rules, as well, like President Barack Obama being eligible to run again or Mayor Mamdani being able to disregard the "naturally born citizen" requirement.
Praising Mayor Mamdani and calling him a "generational talent," Meghan McCain said:
"He's a generational talent. He's like President Obama."
"We should all be grateful he can't run for president because he would be a formidable candidate in about 10 years."
"I don't think Republicans are taking this seriously enough."
"I don't think Republicans realize he's really the best messenger [and] one of the most authentic figures I've heard in years."
"I can't believe I'm hyping him up this much, but I think Republicans should be scared."

Since it was a political stance, McCain's praise of Mamdani was divisive. However, that's not why the comments section got nasty.
There were, of course, some people who called out McCain for betraying her Republican roots by praising a Democratic Mayor, but most people criticized McCain's political stance by punching below the belt: at her weight and her age.

In her next podcast episode, this one called, "Here's why you need to pay attention to the Arizona primary," McCain took a moment toward the end to respond to the trolling comments.

Not everyone will agree who is a suitable candidate for a presidential run, and that is fine, but it's important to have these tough conversations without being cruel. Turning to cruel commentary only hurts people and doesn't actually accomplish anything that will help society.

It can be annoying to receive advice from someone else when we didn't ask for it, but when it comes to medical advice, doctors and nurses have more knowledge, and some people unfortunately have more experience with certain diagnoses than we do.
It's better to speak up and have it turn out to be nothing than to stay quiet and risk a much more life-threatening diagnosis.
In the "Mildly Infuriating" subReddit, Redditor nojunkpeter posted a photo of a bathroom stall door with another person's sandals peeking in under the door, because they were standing so close to the stall while the Redditor was trying to use the bathroom.

Let this be an important reminder that nobody wants to feel creeped out while they're using the bathroom.
So next time, if you're tempted to do this, please take several steps back and give people their privacy.
Now, some fast food chains are locking down their soda machines with QR codes. Some places like Great Wolf Lodge, Disney World, and Universal Studios made the move years ago to plastic cups that have a QR code on them that must be scanned in order for the machines to work. Some of these QR codes even contain limits, like a preset number of refills or only so many scans per hour.
The latest in this shift was captured in a video by TikToker @scottiferr at Steak 'n Shake. At their restaurant location, a small QR scanner is positioned next to the soda machine. In order for the machine to work, the customer has to scan their QR code, which acts as proof of purchase, before being able to get a drink.
The TikToker said in the comments section that they were able to get free refills, and that there did not appear to be a limit to the number of refills they could get after making their purchase. It was simply the act of having to scan the QR code every time that annoyed them.

This is one of those things where it might be annoying to customers to have to scan a QR code to access a soda machine, but it's a small price to pay for restaurants to stop losing money on dishonest drink purchases.
If customers were honest about what they wanted to drink, these QR codes wouldn't be necessary.
The container was one of the large square plastic packages found in grocery stores with a prominent yellow Driscoll's sticker on the lid.
After the employee finished pouring one bin, she stacked the empty bin into a large stack of already-empty containers before grabbing another from a wooden crate with the same Driscoll's branding on the side.

Though Autumn did not approach the employee when she saw this happen, she shared in a follow-up video that she did reach out to the Virginia Farm Market to complain.
She shared screenshots of her message, which read:

"Good evening, this is a difficult year for all the markets in the mid-Atlantic. The freezes and drought have made sourcing local produce challenging."
"The berries are shipped from many farms in what are known as 'clam shells.' They are convenient and stack and ship well."
"However, in our open air environment, we repackage in green quart and pint containers 1. for the sizes, since customers want quart and pint, and 2. in the open air market, the clam shells don't allow the fruit to breathe and promotes mold."

Anyone with a small amount of agricultural knowledge knows that the amount and quality of the produce depends on the health of the plants from that year, which can seriously be impacted by weather and other environmental conditions.
It's totally understandable that a farm might not be able to provide a specific produce item because of a bad year.
What is not understandable is sourcing the item from somewhere else, making it impossible for customers to know where their food is being grown. Customers who go to farmers markets aren't there for specific produce, necessarily; they're there to support local farms, to build community, and to know the story behind their food.
