Chris Evans Criticizes Fox News For How They Would React If Obama Said 'I Am The Chosen One'

Avengers star Chris Evans called out conservative media for how they would've reacted if Obama had said he was "the chosen one" instead of President Trump.

Trump made the bizarre comment on Wednesday while talking about his trade war with China, telling reporters, "Somebody had to do it," before looking at the sky and saying, "I am the chosen one."

He continued:

"Somebody had to do it, so I'm taking on China. I'm taking on China on trade. And you know what? We're winning."

Evans shared the clip while calling out the hypocrisy of Fox News' coverage of Trump vs Obama, saying:

"If Barack Obama looked to the sky and said 'I'm the chosen one', even as a joke(which this wasn't), everyone at Fox News would look like they just peeked inside the Ark of the Covenant."

The scene Evans is referring to is from the classic Indiana Jones film The Raiders of the Lost Ark.

In a particularly gruesome scene, the villains of the movie look inside the Ark of the Covenant and promptly have their faces melted off by what they see.

And considering how much Fox News harped on former President Obama, it seems pretty accurate.

I mean, if Obama HAD said it, would it really have been inaccurate?

The clip of Trump began circulating on Twitter, along with Trump's other claims from Wednesday morning that he was called the "King of Israel" and the "second coming of God."

The abundance of absurd statements from Trump has led Twitter to start calling for the enactment of the #25thAmendmentNow.

The 25th Amendment could be used to remove the President from office if he was deemed unfit, effectively making Vice President Mike Pence the new President.

Which, let's be honest, is also a frightening concept.
