Missing Cat Reunited With Owners Over Two Weeks After Miraculously Surviving Condo Collapse

Missing Cat Reunited With Owners Over Two Weeks After Miraculously Surviving Condo Collapse

Thus far, there has been almost zero good news associated with the partial collapse of a condo tower in Surfside, Florida late last month.

Over 200 people were involved in the collapse, which has left a tragic death toll of 90, a number sure to rise as rescue crews continue to sift through the building's wreckage.

But while we remain mindful of those lives cut short and cling to hope for the dozens still missing, we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing one victim—a bit furrier than the rest—has made his way home.

According to a Facebook post made by The Kitty Campus, an animal shelter in Miami Beach, Florida, a black cat who went missing on the night of the collapse has finally been reunited with its owners.

The Kitty Campus was thrilled to finally share story with a happy ending.

"Let this serve as a reminder to NEVER… EVER… EVER…. GIVE UP HOPE!"
"A black cat resembling Binx from #904 was brought to our facility last night by FEMA. Authorities from all over have been in and out of our Miami Beach office since last night. The Cat was found near the rubble! All we needed was a ray of hope in this tragedy…"
"Today was one of the most amazing days.. one of the survivors came to see the cat and to determine if it was her families cat and IT WAS! We are so grateful to be able to help in any small way. These families lost so much but our south Florida communities team work was able to give them this. Thank you!"

The Kitty Campus shared their kudos for rescue personnel too.

Even the mayor of Miami-Dade County was thrilled to share some good news.

In a press conference, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said:

"I'm glad that this small miracle could bring some light into the lives of a hurting family today and provide a bright spot for our whole community in the midst of this terrible tragedy."

As for Twitter users who heard about the story, they were ecstatic to hear the pleasant news.

Unfortunately, Binx returns home to a family who still waits with baited breath for one more member to emerge from the rubble. Edgar Gonzalez still remains missing despite his wife, Angela and 16-year-old daughter, Devon coming out of the catastrophe alive.

Binx's return will undoubtedly be a welcome sight for the mother and daughter, but they're forced to keep hoping for the safety of Mr. Gonzalez in the coming days.

Even Trump's NASA Director Had To Set Kim Kardashian Straight After She Said The Moon Landing 'Didn't Happen'

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy—who is also NASA's Acting Administrator—issued the weirdest fact-check ever when he corrected reality star Kim Kardashian after she revealed herself to be a moon landing conspiracist.

Conspiracy theorists have long alleged the moon landing was fabricated by NASA in what they claim was an elaborate hoax—and Kardashian certainly made it clear where she stands in a video speaking to co-star Sarah Paulson on the set of the new Hulu drama All’s Fair.

It can be really fun to experience something for the first time that you've never really had before, like a disposable income.

For the average person, there isn't generally a lot of excess money to spend frivolously when they're a child, so when they hit their twenties and have their first "real" or "more important" job, they might find themselves in a position to enjoy some of the finer things in life.

Special Olympics Fires Back At Kid Rock With Powerful Statement After He Used 'The R-Word' To Describe Halloween Costume

MAGA singer Kid Rock was called out by Loretta Claiborne, the Chief Inspiration Officer of the Special Olympics, after he used the "r-word"—a known ableist slur—to describe his Halloween costume this year.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was speaking with Fox News host Jesse Watters when he donned a face mask and said he'd be going as a "r**ard" for Halloween. Watters had guessed he was dressed as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who spearheaded the nation's COVID-19 pandemic response.
