Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert is definitely familiar with the online roastings that tend to come with the weird things she posts at this point, but she doesn't seem to be learning from those experiences.
Boebert is known for loving guns, sharing QAnon conspiracies and vehemently supporting former President Donald Trump—especially his constant assertion he only lost the 2020 election because of some kind of election fraud he nor anyone else has any proof of.
Yesterday, Boebert tweeted about conservatives needing to "be on offense" and it took basically no time for the roasting to begin.
Boebert tweeted:
"Conservatives, we need to be on OFFENSE not DEFENSE."
People began to call out Boebert in the comments almost immediately, most with a common theme.
Boebert and other members of the Republican Party who have made it their mission to spread conspiracy theories and other disinformation4 are already pretty offensive without even trying.
Others had different critiques.
A recent recount confirmed Boebert did narrowly receive enough votes to hold on to her House seat.
So her Twitter nonsense—and other nonsense—are likely to be a fixture in Congress for a while yet.
