The 'Succession' star was tickled to learn from 'The Bear' star how her dad grounded her over a screensaver on her laptop of Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy from the 2005 film 'Pride & Prejudice.'

The Bear star Ayo Edebiri had the most hilarious interaction with Matthew Macfadyen backstage at the 2024 Emmys when she revealed to the Succession star that she was grounded as a child for having a screensaver of him as Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice on her computer.

Edebiri spilled:

"Yeah, so I got grounded, because my dad was like, 'Who's this man?!'"
'"Who's this guy in the coat? With the beautiful hair?'"

Macfadyen later shared their conversation with Entertainment Tonight, explaining:

"She [told me she] was grounded, because she had a screensaver of me as Mr. Darcy on her laptop."

He added:

"Good parenting."
"I haven't heard that [before]."
