School Teacher Makes Beautiful Dress Out Of Artwork By Elementary School Students

  • Rebecca Bonner, an art teacher who works at McAuliffe Elementary School in Highland Village, Texas, is inspiring her students by letting them draw all over her dress.

For two weeks, Bonner let her 580 students, some as young as three, others as old as eleven, draw all over a white dress she purchased from Amazon to help get them excited about the arts.

She told CNN:

"My kids loved taking part in designing my dress. We talked about how we had to be respectful of each other's artwork and chose images that I would like on my dress. I loved watching my kids design it."

Bonner had her students "design" her dress before last year's art show so she could fully embody the children's work.

When this year's art show arrived, she decided to wear it again!

"This year as the District Art Show approached, I decided I would wear it again. My kids loved that I wore it again. A lot of the new students and my kindergartners want me to make a new one for our end of the year school art show!"

The teacher's 20-year-old daughter, Charlece Lake, posted photos of her mother on Twitter.

The images quickly went viral, with many people praising Bonner's creative idea and supportive spirit!

Bonner herself is somewhat taken aback by her sudden viral fame, saying:

"Not really sure how it went so viral. But I sure am glad that it put some positivity out into our world about public school, the fine arts, and teachers."

The elementary school teacher was especially happy to see that her dress has inspired many college-aged future educators.

"I have loved art since I could hold a paintbrush! Art has always been my passion and I am so glad I get to share that with my students every day."

Well done, Ms. Bonner!

You're inspiring us all.

Trump Dragged After Making Ridiculous Claim About Randomly Finding Billions On The 'Tariff Shelf'

President Donald Trump was criticized after he claimed to reporters this week that officials in his administration suddenly found $30 billion they "never knew existed"—located on what Trump referred to as the "tariff shelf."

Tariffs are a tax on imported goods, usually calculated as a percentage of the purchase price. While tariffs can shield domestic manufacturers by making foreign products more expensive, they are also used as a tool to penalize countries engaged in unfair trade practices, such as government subsidies or dumping goods below market value.

Bride's Friends Surprise Her With Montage Video Of All Her Exes At Bachelorette Party—And People Are Mortified

While Jenny Han's novel To All the Boys I've Loved Before was a major hit, and even became a great film success in 2018, not everyone's married to the idea of reconnecting with their exes after the relationships end.

It might be nice to imagine staying friends after the relationships, imagining our exes missing us or regretting losing us, or even giving us an apology for the things they did wrong. But most of us pine for this for a little while, realize it's all a fairy tale, and push past it to better things and new love.
