Polls in the Alabama special election for U.S. Senate between Republican Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones close at 7pm CST. Results will be reported live here. Check back for updates.

The leading candidates in the race include Republican Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones. Moore is the former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, having been elected and removed from the position twice since 2001. Doug Jones made a name for himself as prosecutor against KKK members who killed four African-American girls in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing. He later served as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama under President Bill Clinton.

Polling shows the two candidates neck and neck in the race. While a Fox News poll released on Monday showed Jones with a 10 point lead over Moore, the Real Clear Politics polling average has Moore up by just 2.2%.

Over the weekend, President Trump explicitly endorsed Moore and recorded a robocall to Alabama voters urging them to turn out for Moore. Former President Obama followed that with a robocall of his own in support of Doug Jones, sent out to Alabama voters on Monday.

In it, Obama says:

“Doug Jones is a fighter for equality, for progress. Doug will be our champion for justice. So get out and vote, Alabama.”

Roy Moore has been dogged by multiple accusations of sexually predatory behavior against underage girls when he was in his 30s. Because of this, many Republican senators, including Alabama's senior Senator Richard Shelby and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have declined to support Moore.

On Sunday, Shelby said:

"I'd rather see the Republican win, but I'd rather see a Republican write-in. I couldn't vote for Roy Moore. I didn't vote for Roy Moore...I think, so many accusations, so many cuts, so many drip, drip, drip -- when it got to the 14-year-old's story, that was enough for me. I said I can't vote for Roy Moore."

Lauren Boebert Dragged For Leaking Photo Of Hillary Clinton's Closed Door Epstein Deposition To MAGA YouTuber

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's deposition in the Epstein case had to be paused yesterday after Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert secretly snapped a photo of her and sent it to right-wing podcaster Benny Johnson—who then immediately posted it online.

Clinton, who along with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had insisted on testifying publicly regarding matters tied to the late financier, pedophile, and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, faced hours of questioning in a closed-door deposition after Republican Chair of the House Oversight Committee refused to make their depositions public.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul Trolls Kash Patel With Epic Zing Over 'Heated Rivalry' Airbnb Listing

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's FBI Director, Kash Patel, is facing backlash over his taxpayer-funded locker room booze fest at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics in Italy.

Patel flew to Italy on a taxpayer-funded FBI plane despite having repeatedly criticized his predecessors for such excursions throughout 2023 and 2024. But an FBI spokesperson claimed it was not a personal trip because Patel met with Italian law enforcement and the U.S. ambassador to Italy during his visit.
