Earlier this week, the QAnon conspiracy reached strange new depths as believers gathered in Dallas.
The group waited for John F. Kennedy, Jr. to reveal he was secretly alive and working to bring down the "deep state."
The gathering was strange, even for the QAnon conspiracy theorists.
You can see photos, video and messages below.
There is currently a large crowd of what appears to be QAnon believers at the AT&T Discovery Plaza in downtown Dallas. A popular QAnon theory recently is that JFK Jr. of the Kennedy family will be making a big announcement at Dealey Plaza by the grassy knoll sometime tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/8L0Lw09wH7

Hundreds pack Dealey Plaza in Dallas in anticipation of return of JFK Jr. Conspiracy theorists in crowd tell me he's expected to announce he's running for office alongside Donald Trump. ETA was just before 12:30pm @WBAP247NEWS @570KLIF pic.twitter.com/4j0ITjRbYa

The JFK Jr wing of QAnon has become convinced that the Kennedy family is going to make some sort of grand reappearance in Dallas tomorrow and announce that Trump is President again. pic.twitter.com/BZhxTbvApj

The QAnon conspiracy originates from an anonymous social media user who claimed to work for the government with "Q-level" clearance during the Robert Mueller investigation.
"Q" claimed Donald Trump was secretly working with Mueller to clean out the government. In time it grew and absorbed several other conspiracies becoming a strange hodge-podge of alleged government secrets mired and melded with antisemitic tropes, longstanding White nationalist and White supremacist rhetoric and the buzzwords of well established hate groups.
Now it involves a Satan-worshipping cabal, blood sacrifices, child trafficking, a mythical drug called adrenochrome, Jewish wildfire causing space lasers and just a ton of conspiracy theories ranging from the mundane to the bizarre.
A formerly smaller sect of the conspiracy believed JFK Jr.—who died in a plane crash in 1999—was secretly alive and attending Trump's MAGA rallies.
The growth of the JFK conspiracists within QAnon is strange even for QAnon.
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here." pic.twitter.com/HGU6wB103K

"Should we invade Earth today?"

"No, no, no...We don't want to take the chance whatever is going on down there spreads and contaminates the rest of the galaxy."

I love the part where JFK, Sr is coming back for "a week to remember" then "will pass away" again. 😂

Not to be that guy, but don't these people have jobs?
— WillisisCray (@WillisisCray) November 2, 2021
I think there's a bigger chance of him rising from the dead than his running with Trump if he was alive.

Despite gatherings Monday night at the AT&T Discovery Plaza in Dallas and Tuesday afternoon at the grassy knoll overlooking where his father was assassinated, JFK Jr. did not appear.
The QAnon people are walking up to random people they think are dead celebrities in Dallas today and introducing themselves. So far they have seen "Robin Williams" and "Dale Earnhardt."
They now think JFK Jr. will reveal himself at a Rolling Stones concert tonight. pic.twitter.com/oyu7YkRgBk

A QAnon follower explains why she's in Dallas today. She believes JFK wasn't assassinated, and the 104-year-old former president is going to help usher in a Trump/JFK Jr. Administration. pic.twitter.com/Xl3PhgayLc

No one was surprised except the QAnoners.
The JFK Jr. Q rally is over. Resurrection delayed due to rain.
I've followed this for years, and it's jarring how pathetic this was. These people want all the dead celebrities from their childhoods back, so they pretended to see them in real life today. It's childlike coping.

Did JFK Jr. make an appearance in Dallas today or does this woman owe us $100? pic.twitter.com/jcs9Entzmz

Faking your death for a decade: no problem.
Showing up while it's drizzling: whoa, whoa, whoa.
— Two Seasons Partial Landscaping (@2tireddidntread) November 2, 2021
I'm leaving now. Not sure why JFK Jr. or JFK Sr. didnt show up. Maybe they will at the Rolling Stones concert later tonight in Dallas.
— steven monacelli (@stevanzetti) November 2, 2021
An hour after the designated time, the crowd began to dwindle.
The rain didn't help either.
Despite this showing, it's unlikely to have an effect on the belief in the conspiracy.
