People Share The Weirdest Thing They Do When They're Alone

Ah, alone time. My favorite kind of time. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my friends, but at the end of the day I also love being home alone with my cat. It's nice to know that you can do what you wan't without being constantly judged for it (well, I'm sure my cat is judging me, but cats are just generally judge-y anyway).

That freedom from others' judgement leads us to do some pretty odd things when we're alone.

Reddit user charliedal147 asked:

"What's the weirdest thing you do when you're alone?"

The responses show that we're all a little strange, but some of us are definitely weirder than others.

Self-confidence Booster

I commentate everything I do. And I seem to do everything well, according to the commentator.

-CouldButDontWantTo

And here he goes, writing a reddit comment about his very thoughts! And he hit post! What will the internet think of his witty remark? Nothing good, I assume!

Is This Not Normal?

I'll act out bits of my little personal fantasies. Not like sexual fantasies, but more like...self-insert fanfics. I'll fully act out dialogue and action scenes.

I'm not proud.

-Lachwen

I'm not alone!!!!!!!!!

-thutruthissomewhere

I do this to go to sleep at night. I have quite a few worlds and stories I've built over the years.

-Physics_Dan

I've been doing this since I was kid. I thought it would go away as I grew up, but honestly if you ask me the stories just got better and more thought out. I've thought a lot about making a career as a writer or something along those lines.

Very Zen

Sometimes I just lay on the floor and...exist.

-DamnIt_Richard

I love laying in the warm patch the sunlight through my window causes on the carpet and just existing, y'know just like a dog or cat would?

-monkeypie22

I do this. Sometimes you just need to lay on the floor & just not doing anything else. I don't know if it's the change of scenery or the new perspective, but it really works.

It also makes my back/hips feel better if they are bothering me.

Gotta Practice Sometime

I like to push the limits of my vocal abilities and try to see if I can reach higher/lower ranges than what is in my comfort zone.

-shanamarierocks

But How Do You Feel when You Lose?

Walking around my room having imaginary arguments with myself, and feeling accomplished when I win.

-Nueroroad

To be fair that's exactly what arguing with strangers on reddit feels like.

-0asq

Just As Nature Intended

I like being nude. Just doing everything in the nude. Watching TV, feeding the cats, sweeping the floor....you name it

-sarahlvspickles

Same! I walk in the door, clothes come off, even if it's in the middle of the day. My husband doesn't mind one bit!

-Trashiki

I keep the house warm enough so that my wife always just comfortable to walk around in underwear, I love it!

-squeezethecatssack

Carpool Karaoke

I sing to strangers in traffic.

-RiccyRic

Me too, dead in the eye sometimes.

-niwawhatuira

Whatever Makes You Happy

I own a fair amount of latex fetish wear. Sometimes, I'll put that stuff on, shine it up, and just do normal life stuff in it.

-PowerSkunk92

You're Thinking Too Hard

Some times I will stare at the wall thinking about things I have to do and goals I have. Eventually I start to imagine lots of different things. But it looks like I am just sitting there wide eyed and looking at nothing. I will sometimes do it for hours. My girlfriend will come home and catch me sometimes. Freaks her out a little and she calls it my "Psycho Face." Lol

-Da_Reapa_commin

SHORYUUKEN!

I'll make sound effect sounds while doing things, such as Street Fighter or Star Wars. Randomly I'll just go... "Senpuuuuuu-HADOUKEN!" and feel great about it.
