You know, it would be really nice if I could go one day without hearing about Elon Musk. He's a pretty attention-starved person, but I suppose having billions of dollars but no friends can do that to a person. (If you want me to go on about my annoyance with rich folks, we'd be here all day.)
Turns out I'm not the only one with an axe to grind. For that, we can thank Redditor KillerQ97, who asked the online community,

Yeah... maybe there's something wrong with me but I still don't understand it. Sounds like gibberish.
"My husband loves his job..."
"As a college educator at a state university, I'm tired of hearing my students claim that the only way to be successful, rich, or happy is to go to college. All my students look down on "tech school students." College isn't the answer for everyone. Hell, my husband (a tech school graduate) makes over double what I make in a year, has better health insurance and benefits, and more vacation time. My husband loves his job and has been with the same company for almost 20 years. He isn't even 40 yet and has no regrets."
"When someone does something good..."
"When someone does something good and amazing but the media decides to focus on what gender or sexuality that person was and not the good deed that they did. Honestly, it undermines the hard work the person put in and kicks the good thing they did to the side. It doesn't really matter what gender or sexuality you are as long as you do good things in life."
"How awful..."
"How awful humans are. Or how terrible people are. Or how everyone sucks. Yeah, we get it, everyone has the capacity for evil. But a much larger majority of people are thoughtful, kind, and decent."
That's pretty aggravating. Why can't people leave others well enough alone?

"Conspiracy theories. If I see any more damn posts about one, I'm going to start reporting them."
Maybe you should have started reporting them already?

"Currently in the process of buying my own place. I'm sick of people telling me how "exciting" it is. No. It's stressful. I'll be excited after everything is done and I'm physically moved in."
Nothing about closing on a house seems fun to me. Sounds nightmarish, in fact.
"Men constantly complaining..."
"Men constantly complaining on Reddit that they don't get compliments from random women.
Men can compliment each other. We're not your goddamn free therapists, and as many, many women have explained many, many times, we run the risk of being assaulted or harassed if we compliment random men on the street. This is 100% an issue the dudes need to work out for themselves, but every time it comes up it's just a pity party of men moaning that women aren't taking sole responsibility for their mental health."

"I'm sick of hearing about people not getting vaccines and not wanting to wear masks. Some people devote their whole lives to talk about this, it seems."
Here's what I've learned today: We could all do with a little more peace and quiet. That sounds like what the majority of us are lacking at the moment.
