George W. Bush Says What We're All Thinking About His Administration in the Era of Trump

Former President George W. Bush has generally kept a low profile since his exit from office in 2009. But from time to time, he likes to take a jab at President Donald Trump, reports the National Journal's Tom DeFrank.

Despite his presidency being nearly universally ranked as one of the worst ever, Bush's knack for making fun of himself has not gone away.

Both Bush 43 and Bush 41 have pretty much avoided discussing Trump publicly; neither of them attended the Republican National Convention in 2016, nor did they vote for Trump in that year's presidential election.

"He's shaking his head like everyone else wondering why they can't get their act together," one White House ally told the National Journal. "He wants the guy to succeed but thinks a lot of his problems are self-inflicted."

All joking aside, some people don't miss Bush, no matter how much of a disaster Trump is.

"No actually Bush 43 was a disaster. Does he remember how many lives he sacrificed for a LIE??" commented Steve o/b/o Patrick. "Trillions spent on the lie that the Intell Comm told of Weapons of Mass Destruction. And he jokes about his time in office."

Trump, however, has called Bush 43's decision to invade Iraq "the single worst decision ever made." He also has said, in reference to the 43rd president, "here we are, the dummies of the world because we had bad politicians running the country for a long time. That was Bush. Another real genius. That was Bush."

In Soviet America, Bush schools you.

Always remember that a "genius" tweets. And continues the wars he chastizes his predecessors for starting and not ending, or whatever.

Sigh, at least under Bush, we still had history on the History Channel, which maybe could have helped us avoid this catastrophe in the first place.

Video Of Trump Appearing To Fall Asleep During Memorial Day Ceremony For Fallen Soldiers Has People Outraged

President Donald Trump is facing criticism after video footage showed he closed his eyes and appeared to fall asleep at a Memorial Day ceremony honoring fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

Trump, who earlier that day faced criticism for Truth Social posts attacking Democrats and defending the war in Iran, marked the approaching 250th anniversary of American independence by calling it a “historic milestone” and saying “there could be no Independence Day without Memorial Day,” in tribute to fallen service members.
