Donald Trump's Bonkers Speech About Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant Just Got the 'Drunk History' Treatment and It's Perfect

Oh dear.

Comedy Central welcomed Drunk History creator Derek Waters to The Daily Show and the network did so in the most perfect way possible.

Because Drunk History made a tradition out of intoxicated celebrities recounting events throughout American and world history, The Late Show created a parody that fit all too well: Trump History.

Using a bizarre speech from October 2018, The Late Show spun together a video starring Waters, informed by Donald Trump's long-winded descriptions of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and the Civil War.

The segment features Waters as Abraham Lincoln, who—at Trump's narration—takes a risk by trusting General Ulysses S. Grant, and the rest is Trump history.

As it turns out, the pace and tone of the particular speech remain largely similar to the intoxicated narrators usually featured.

Twitter ate the parody up.

And they weren't done.

A significant amount of viewers were no fans of Donald Trump, but still appreciated seeing one of his rambling speeches treated with as much reverence as the speech deserves.

Meanwhile, many were conflicted through their laughter.

As many demand more Trump History segments, it's hard to fathom how Trump will be remembered in the Drunk History of the future.

AOC Has Mic Drop Response To MAGA Republicans Who Try To Mock 'Democratic Priorities'

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez issued a powerful rebuke against President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, pointing out why mocking things like affordable housing and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as "Democrat priorities" ultimately hurts Republicans.

Ocasio-Cortez, speaking during a CNN town hall alongside Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders, accused Republicans of refusing to work to end the government shutdown, stressing that the country’s health care system could collapse if Republicans refuse to meet Democrats’ demands in negotiations.

GOP Rep. Blames Coordinated 'Ruse' After Swastika Image Is Seen Displayed In His Office

Ohio Republican Representative Dave Taylor demanded an investigation after a swastika image was found on display in his Washington, D.C., office, and blamed it on a "targeted" "ruse."

Politico obtained a photo from a virtual meeting showing a distorted image of the American flag—its red and white lines altered into the shape of a swastika— pinned to what appears to be a cubicle wall behind Angelo Elia, a staffer for Taylor. Beside it hung a pocket Constitution and a congressional calendar. Elia’s involvement in the incident, if any, remains unclear.
