Trump Spokeswoman Blasts Fox News for Editing Out His Election Lies From Interview

Trump Spokeswoman Blasts Fox News for Editing Out His Election Lies From Interview
MSNBC

Former President Donald Trump was banned from a host of social media accounts this past January, after using them to broadcast lies about the 2020 election—lies that incited a deadly failed insurrection against the United States Capitol by his extremist supporters.

But though Trump may be banned from Twitter, he frequently exploits a loophole that allows him to continue blaring his deranged fantasies about a "stolen" election to anyone who will listen. That loophole is his spokeswoman, Liz Harrington, who eagerly tweets out statements from the former President on her own Twitter account.

But not only is Harrington helping Trump continue exploiting the gullibility of his followers, but she rails against anyone who won't join her in platforming these lies—even if they're part of right-wing media.

Harrington recently went on a Twitter rant decrying the conservative Fox News network for editing out a portion of Trump's recent interview with far-right Fox News host Dan Bongino.

The original interview played in its entirety on both the Fox News channel and on FoxNews.com, but portions of Trump continuing to lie about the 2020 election were cut from the interview on YouTube, in adherence to YouTube's policies.

Harrington wasn't at all pleased.

Bongino quickly turned on his own network to emphasize he'd had nothing to do with editing its YouTube post.

But people were far more concerned with Harrington's continued amplification of Trump's lies than any "censorship" taking place on Fox's YouTube channel.

But there were still plenty of deluded conservatives who joined her in railing against Fox News.

Another instance of Republican cancel culture.
