Woman Goes Viral After Crediting Lil Kim Dance Moves With Saving Her Life During Shooting

Shariah Taylor told WTVY News4 in Alabama how the rapper's dance moves helped her and her child avoid getting struck during a drive-by shooting outside her apartment.

A woman in Alabama went viral after claiming Lil Kim dance moves saved her life during a shooting at her apartment complex.

Shariah Taylor told WTVY News4 that she was outside her apartment when the incident transpired.


After observing a confrontation and then hearing gunshots, Taylor told a reporter how she managed to get her child and herself to safety.

“So I’m dodging, I’m ducking, I’m dodging, I’m ducking."

She continued, showing off her life-saving moves and crediting Lil Kim's "Quiet Storm" for helping her dodge bullets.

"I’m dodging, doing my 'Lil Kim' ..."
"I’m trying to get my baby in the car, then I threw my baby in the backseat and we just sped off.”

Everyone was glad Taylor and her baby were safe.

And they were entertained by the Lil Kim reference and impression.








The news reported that there was a shooting in the same complex earlier last month, so Taylor gave her best advice.

"Sometimes I don't feel safe... and sometimes [I'm] scared..."
"But that's why I say you got to mind your own business and stay to yourself."
"Mind your business if you stay in West Village and stay in your house."
