The actors spoke on Shepard's 'Armchair Expert' podcast about the backlash they received after sharing how they got stuck in Boston's Logan Airport after their flight was delayed and they couldn't book a hotel.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard recently used a portion of an episode of Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert to discuss a few updates in their lives and to confront some rumors and negative comments about them.

Among the topics was the public’s response to the couple’s recent misadventure at Logan Airport in Boston when their flights were delayed and their family wound up having to set up camp, with $600 worth of supplies, on the floor of the airport.

The incident was catalogued on both Bell's and Shepard’s Instagrams at the time, and prompted a flurry of criticism.

Bell recently joined Shepard on the podcast to clear the air, explaining the incident to fans and commenting on how hurtful it was to have such an out-of-proportion backlash to their posts.

“You have to stop trying to prove things to people because it happens everywhere."
"It doesn’t just happen to us, it happens to every single person, no matter how known you are on social media."
"Someone makes a comment and you have to ignore them because they’re not on your level.”

People really supported the two of them.
