Kellyanne Conway's 2016 Tweet Hailing Trump's Win as 'Landslide. Blowout. Historic' Comes Back to Haunt Her

This past Saturday, the Associated Press and all major television news outlets determined that President-elect Joe Biden would win the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania, with its 20 electoral votes bringing Biden above the 270 vote threshold to take the White House, eliminating President Donald Trump's chances at a second term.

As expected, Trump and his team are denying these results and refusing to concede the election, even as Biden continues to win more states.

On Wednesday, media outlets declared Biden the winner of Arizona, and its Republican Attorney General confirmed the same, bringing Biden's electoral total to 290 votes.

Biden is also narrowly leading in Georgia by over 10 thousand votes—a win which would bring his total up to 306 votes, the same number of electoral votes that Trump won with in 2016.

As Trump's allies dismiss Biden's victory, their praise for Trump's margin of victory in 2016 is coming back to haunt them.

Former presidential counsellor Kellyanne Conway—one of Trump's most vocal defenders—is the latest Trump associate whose 2016 tweets are setting the standard for 2020.

Conway praised Trump's upset 2016 victory as "historic" and a "landslide."

As Biden's victory shapes up to be the same as Trump's total, people are wondering if Conway will apply the same praise to Biden.

There is one difference, however, between Biden's 2020 win and Trump's 2016 win.

In 2016, Trump lost the popular vote by nearly two million, while Biden—in 2020—has won not only the electoral college vote, but the popular vote as well, by around five million votes.

People didn't hesitate to make this distinction.

Despite the Trump sphere's protests, President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be inaugurated on January 20.

MAGA Senator Slammed After Scolding Americans For Whining About High Gas Prices Amid Iran War—And Wow

Kansas Republican Senator Roger Marshall chastised Americans for complaining about high gas prices and insisted they should consider that their "national security is even more important" than whatever blows are being dealt to their wallets at the gas pump.

Consumer prices are up 3.3% compared to a year ago, largely fueled by a surge in energy costs. The energy index jumped 10.9% in a single month as oil and gas prices climbed sharply. Amid the Iran war and the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, oil has risen back to around $100 a barrel, pushing gasoline prices up by a record 25%.
