The 'American Idol' judge was having issues with her metallic crop top before it fell off during a contestant's performance.

Katy Perry shone in quite the ensemble during Monday's episode of American Idol.

The Grammy winning singer sported an avant-garde sculptural chrome top, black skirt and beachy hair...

...for a moment, anyway.

At one point in the Top 14 episode, the judge suffered a wardrobe malfunction, causing her to nearly lose her top just before Roman Collins' performance of James Brown’s "It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World."

The moment was all captured on video, and Perry shared the near disaster on social media.

While holding on to the metallic top, the Firework singer joked:

“If it’s not fixed, this show is gonna get more than it wanted.”

Costar Luke Bryan also offered to help with the repairs.

You can watch below.

Fans were highly entertained by the judges' reactions to the debacle.

Judge Lionel Richie talked about the fiasco with Entertainment Tonight, telling them Bryan was actually to blame for the malfunction.

“Luke knocked the top off, I’ll tell you all the truth."
"And then Luke spent the rest of the time going, ‘I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry.’"
"But he was definitely apologetic and then he tried to put it back together and that looked worse than the whole thing.”

Perry, however, attributed it to Collins' stellar performance.

"[It] broke my top off. I guess it is a woman’s world.”
