Man Shares Incredible Story About How His Very Good Dog Hank Saved His Family From A Very Close Call

This year on National Puppy Day, dog owners everywhere shared pictures and stories in celebration of our furry friends and every thing they do for us.

Twitter user @USCocksman was especially grateful for his golden retriever Hank though, without whom he might not be around today.

Loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love — what else could we ask for from our four-legged friends? So it's only right that every March 23rd, on National Puppy Day, we take the time to honor good boys and girls everywhere for being apart of our lives.

Some dogs take the loyalty to an entirely new level however, like this dog who saved his human family from a shooting. Dogs like that seem to be the most deserving of appreciation

Another dog that deserves just as much appreciation is Twitter user @USCocksman's Golden Retriever Hank.

As a puppy, Hank was a bit of a trouble maker with a taste for Vans sneakers.

But a bit of puppy mischief was nothing compared to the night Hank saved his family from a very close call.

When Hank began barking nonstop late one night, his owner eventually realized that something wasn't right. After getting up to see what was wrong, @USCocksman discovered what Hank had been barking about.

The entire yard had caught fire!

The family immediately called 911 and got Hank and themselves outside.

Thanks to Hank and the fire fighters, the house survived mostly undamaged and Hank's family was saved from a dangerous situation that could have had a much more tragic ending.

Twitter was blown away by Hank's story and collectively sent all of their extra pats and belly rubs for the very good boy.

And for his heroic efforts, Twitter users offered to send Hank all the shoes he could ever eat.

Incredibly though, Hank's wasn't the only tale of unbelievable doggy heroism as several shared their stories of how their dogs had managed to save their lives too.

We truly don't deserve dogs, but thankfully, they stick by us anyway. To honor your own very good boy, might we suggest this adorable t-shirt? Or just join me in squealing over the cuteness of these puppies!

MAGA Rep. Ripped For Changing Story About Why He Sleeps In His DC Office To Fit Trump Agenda

Tennessee Republican Representative Tim Burchett was criticized for claiming that he "lives" in his office because of crime in Washington, D.C., even though he gave a completely different reason earlier this year to explain how he maintains productivity.

Burchett's remarks came as President Donald Trump federalized the Metropolitan Police and deployed about 800 National Guard troops to the nation’s capital this week while claiming crime in D.C. is "out of control" despite falling crime rates.

Sorbo gripes about Vikings cheerleaders

American actor and sudden cheerleading morality police Kevin Sorbo appeared to spontaneously combust online when the Minnesota Vikings announced the addition of two male cheerleaders to their 2025 squad.

Born in Mound, Minnesota, Sorbo has long cultivated his brand of brawny, bicep-flexing alpha male heroics—playing Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Captain Dylan Hunt in Andromeda, and starring in the 2008 parody Meet the Spartans, where he famously shared an on-screen kiss with Sean Maguire’s King Leonidas.
