Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman had social media users cackling after he couldn't help but jab his former Republican rival Dr. Mehmet Oz with a crudité joke on Halloween.
Fetterman shared an image of a veggie tray on Halloween night, accompanied by the following caption:
"Wild and crazy evening in with… crudités."

The crudité is a reference to Oz's now-infamous video in which he cluelessly attempted to buy groceries for his wife. The video, first posted in April of 2022, featured Oz shopping in a supermarket for ingredients for crudité and complaining the $20 total for those ingredients was too high.

The original video turned Oz into even more of a punchline after he blamed President Joe Biden for the price of groceries and complained a $6 jar of salsa was too expensive.
Fetterman has mocked Oz's crudité gaffe more than once, at one point going viral for including the food at a campaign event the night he defeated Oz during the 2022 midterm elections.
Many loved Fetterman's latest and couldn't help but mock Oz themselves.
Fetteman's campaign was regularly praised for effective social media outreach that emphasized Oz's ties to New Jersey and minimal ties to Pennsylvania.
Part of the effectiveness of these campaigns was due to Oz's penchant for making outlandish statements that exposed his privilege, his inability to connect with working-class voters, his support for abortion restrictions, and how much he'd aligned himself with former Republican President Donald Trump, casting doubt on his capacity to lead.
For instance, last year Oz was criticized after remarks he made in 2014 in which he appeared to give the green light to incestuous relationships resurfaced, prompting Fetterman to crack that Oz's comments represented "yet another issue" where the two men disagreed.
Fetterman also demonstrated he has his finger on the pulse of the latest entertainment news by using one of scandal-ridden Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine's sexually charged Instagram messages to illustrate Oz's thirst for "money, fame, and power."
